  • NOPE... already started taking it over.
looks like we may just have to share like good little brats.
  • Looks like the neighborhoods got some new riff raff ... yuppies beware...Imma invade yer space....
  • Is Living Room Lounge going to re-open??
  • It's funny, but back in the 80s when I was in The Rocky Horror Show in The Village, the gay people in the show called themselves "queers" and "fags". Here it is more than 25 years later and, with the exception of you, none of the gay people I know use those words anymore.
Did you fall out of a time warp? Are you actively seeking riff-raff? Hmmmm, maybe with all this derogatory speech, you're just looking to get a rise out of somebody. Just my two cents FWIW.
  • Yesterday I spoke to one of the owners of the Living Room Lounge. She is looking for a new place to start up again but in a different location.
    The LRL was great.
  • Well, La Face, I hate to break it to you, but the gay guys with kids (us) have moved into the hood and >gasp< one of us works in Midtown. There goes the neighborhood.
  • I already established that queers by default are automatically cooler.

So, 2 men with a baby and a commited partnership is automatically cooler than a man and a woman and a baby.

    i mean seriously people.
    you know I'm right.
  • oh and it's good that some queers work in midtown.
we have to infiltrate the lay folk!!

    Hi Everyone:

    Check out: www.brooklyngaybars.com

OutAboutBrooklyn.com is a digital resource guide providing information on the best gay and gay-friendly bars and clubs, stores, restaurants and things to do in Brooklyn. The OutAboutBrooklyn.com guide is here for anyone and everyone who is somehow, in someway connected to the LGBT community in Brooklyn.

    Cheers!
  • I'd put the Park Slope Food Coop against any gay bar for cool queer grrls and bois (and married homo queer types with kids too, but that's a different story)

just sayin', since I didn't notice this thread the first time around
  • i see queer grrrls and bois at quarter bar, sometimes roots cafe and the other night at under minerva gallery! a ton of em. I hope the young gays realize soon that this is the hood! we got priced out of clinton hill and too many queer attacks in crown heights.
  • this is more in Gowanus, but I hear that the women's rugby league goes to Draft Barn after their matches. i'm sure there is a generous helping of dykes on those nights.
  • :D

looks like the the cute queers at lopez are making this gayborhood all the rage.
oh and the hipsters are really here gays, that means more organic food stores.. and that's fine by me
