Jazz at Aji Tonight

veets
edited November -1 in Park Slope
Thursday is jazz Nite at Aji (9th street between 4th and 5th ave)

This evening the music promises to be extraordinary. The trio includes Ted Brown, legendary sax player. He has years behind the legend..is 80 and played with and was a favorite of many Jazz greats who no longer are with us.

So, If you haven't checked out jazz at Aji or even if you have.. This would be the night to stop by and hear some music.

    Oh Scarlett... you lie!!
Piero is a happily married man but he never ignores the women!

Earlier in the evening I was there with grandson, who is 2 1/2. He is in training to appreciate jazz. He had a ginger ale, sat up on those high chairs and applauded only for the best of his grampa's solos.

Jazz at Aji's will continue through Oct every Thursday night.
  • Just wanted to write that there will be some more jazz at Aji this Saturday night.

It'll be guitar/sax duo with the sax player bringing out his guitar too. Starts at 9pm.

Hope to see some people come out for it.
  • Veets, did you know the singer, too? I don't think she sang until after you left. Man, she was awesome.
  • She gotta name?
  • Most likely but I didn't catch it. I was schnockered by then since Pero and the bartender were practically pouring drinks down our throats.
  • Her name is stephanie rooker.
