100 things you should eat before you die

Comments

  • I'll die before I eat blood pudding.

    Crocodile, however, is delicious.
  • Also, theres a place on Baxter street, downtown, one block south of Canal with the best damn Pho on earth.
  • I've had at least 55 of these. I've eaten blood pudding once, in an Argentinean restaurant in Jackson Heights. It was the worst thing I've ever eaten, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat it again.

Is there anyone who has eaten the whole hundred?

I doubt that I'll ever eat fugu.
  • Blood pudding is lovely! But then, I eat liverwurst.
  • <--eats liverwurst too.

I've eaten many of those things.

    Where's BACON on that list????

You wouldn't say that if you had been to Vietnam.

We have decent Vietnamese in New York, but it's nowhere near as good as Vietnam, and there are actually other North American cities with better, though it saddens me deeply to admit it.
  • not kosher!!!
  • i've eated 61 of these items. and i have abssolutely NO desire to eat the others.
  • This is a great list, but I can't relate to it. Huevos rancheros (eggs with beans) is a common, survival meal for me, nothing I'd go out of my way for.

The top 10 foods that everyone should eat before death should include fluffy, hot naan with spicy mango chutney and a big fat bag of Doritos.

I only read "100 Things You Should Eat Before You Die" up to 76...so maybe Doritos are included further down the list.

That's one of the 8 I haven't had. Not sure if I would. I think it depends on what it was and who was cooking it. I definitely would not eat some redneck hillbilly's "possum pie" but I bet a real chef could do some great things with some roadkill. And if you count deer as roadkill, then no question I'd eat it.
  • ^^^ I've had venison sausage that was roadkill. My friend's uncle was a volunteer fireman; he was notified of struck deer within a few minutes and often collected the body. He'd always have steaks, sausage, etc around.
  • Roadkill. Those two words sound gross together.

Ok , I'm back. Sorry for puking on you like that , Carnivore.

Anywho , My neighbor in the D goes hunting every year and he brings his animals home.
He gives my dad deer steaks and deer sausage.
He had dead animals all up in his house. He killed a Coyote and got it stuffed and I didn't know about it.
So when I walked in his house it was right there staring at me and I was like wtf! I was afraid to walk past it.
He called me later on to let me know what would be waiting for me over there. Too damn late neighbor! #-o
