Dog doo police on St Johns?
Sometimes it doesn't pay to get up out of bed in the morning..but the dog has to go outside and doo.
Today she did it in the snow in front of the building on the SW corner of St Johns and Underhill.
I picked it up and was about to walk away to the corner garbage can when I must have intercepted some "radar". I looked up to see an large ugly troll like old woman glaring at me from the second floor window. Just staring at me like I owed her money.
Then she said, "you might as well pick the rest of it up." pointing at the snow.
Evidently I had missed a piece the size of a milk dud.
The troll like cow pushed her ample bosom up against the window screen so I could see the NYPD shield applique on the front of her navy blue sweater.
"They have fines for that you know."
"are you the police of the block?" I asked..I mean, this was totally off the wall. The nastiness of this person was way out of proportion to the "crime". Meanwhile there are huge rottweiler piles lying a short distance away. Guess the troll didin't catch them in the act.
"You don't believe me? " the cow spat. "I'm come down there and show you..' She heaved her bulk off the window chair and vanished.
To my shame, I picked up the milk dud. Then I walked away, swearing vividly as is my wont when confronted with pig-stupid ass people.
I'm actually one of the good dog owners. 99.9% of my dog's doo gets picked up. But no, I'm the one who gets picked on by the self appointed shit police.
Why doesn't she pick on the thug rott owners? (it just seems many owners of rotts don't pick it up because there's just SO MUCH of it)
TANJ. stupid fucking cow.
Sometimes people make me feel that merely having a leashed, licensed, recently vaccinated dog walking with me in the street is a crime.

Or, maybe next time you can just pick up your dog's shit.

If you had picked it all up, there wouldn't have been more left. It's nice that you make some effort, but it's your absolute basic responsibility as a dog owner to not leave it's shit on the street. If you can't do that, then only let it shit in front of your own house (or better yet, in it).

The fact that other pet owners are irresponsible doesn't excuse you from cleaning up after your dog. -
Small oversight, who cares? Intent was there, but the execution was a little less than perfect. Give a guy a break...

I wasn't there, but if the lady could see it from the second floor with the naked eye, it must have been significantly less than perfect. -
It was cold outside!!! Don't you ever have a moment when you're a little lazy/careless for some reason or another?!

Of course. But it didn't involve leaving shit in front of someone's home.

So, people didn't respond with the outrage towards that "stupid fucking cow" that you were hoping for--maybe you could just drop it?

As a dog owner, I believe in picking up after my beast.
But those who throw angry words *from their own windows* would be wise to remember that the person bearing the onslaught does have immediate access to fresh dog shit.
Just saying. -
Subject: um: you're the one calling her a f#cking cow...
well, at the same time, referring to the person as "a large ugly troll-like old woman" with "an ample bosom," like a "cow" who has to "heave her bulk off the window chair" doesn't seem like a reasonable or even slightly charitable response, even to a rude set of comments.
But maybe she did see the gigantic pile of rottweiler shit and maybe that's why she was pissed about it and took it out on you. maybe her grandkid stepped in some in front of her door the day before and tracked it all over her apartment before anyone noticed. That doesn't excuse her attitude about it, but you should certainly treat her with a modicum of respect.
And, with all due respect, if you're picking it up, you may as well pick it all up, even the last little milk-dud sized piece. Because you're a nice person. And because, as she helpfully pointed out, there are fines and one day, you may have more bad luck and get fined for it. Are you going to curse out the police for that then? -
I would have told the old hag to "mind her own fucking business." Then again, I'm an asshole. The nerve of some people!

Yeah, I kind of lost my sympathy for the whole thing over the fatphobic commentary myself. -

right? who gives a fuck about how "ugly", "bulky" or "ample" this "cow" was? would he have been as pissed off if she'd been a lingerie model calling to him in dulcet tones to "please, oh please sir -- can you pick up that last tiny piece of shit from the sidewalk?"
jesus.
