Paralyzed and homeless kitten needs your help!
I came across this story on the Bideawee site and a tear came to my eye. What a sweet little thing!

My name is Pear, and I’m not like other five-month-old kittens you’ll meet. People who know me say I live up to my name, because I’m as sweet as the fruit. And they love my cute and bright face, and how cuddly I can be when I’m not being a ball of kitty energy! But for all my cuteness, I’ve not been so lucky; and life has been throwing one hardball after another my way.
Before I came to Bideawee, my mom and siblings and me were homeless. Mom didn’t have anyone to look out for her, until someone kind enough to help her brought her to an animal hospital. While all my brothers and sisters seemed okay, I wasn’t as fortunate. You see, I was born paraplegic – paralyzed from the waist down because of spine damage.
Other kittens could lead a normal life, but a cat like me would’ve been slated to die early, just because I wasn’t “normal.” But my sweetness seemed to win me an angel – an angel that couldn’t bear to see me lose my life just because I was handicapped. She reached out to Bideawee; and Bideawee came to my rescue!
Since I’ve been here, I’ve made friends with many of the staffers that look after me. They show lots of patience with me, since I can’t go to the restroom on my own and will need to wear a diaper in order not to make a mess. I will also need constant medication for my urinary tract infections. I’m told, too, that Bideawee does not do all this work alone. They have the support of wonderful animal lovers who don’t know me, but who care so much about me and other homeless kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs that they do what they can to make sure we will be safe and have support. I will never be able to use my back legs: But I know that with Bideawee’s staff and the help of people like you, I, too, will be able to live a great and special life – which is just fine for a very special

Totally makes me wish I weren't allergic to thuh kittehs. Bidawee is such a great org. -
Oh, Pear!
I used to take my cats to Bideawee when I was growing up. They also have a great pet cemetery (if that's not an oxymoron)
One day if I have boatloads of money to leave in a will, part of it will go to organizations which help animals. -
I WISH! As selfish as it sounds, I don't know if I have what it takes to take care of a disabled animal. And with Oscar, he's probably stand on her. Can we make donations for her care?
Nevermind - answered that question. Right on the top of their website!
Howdy, Stranger!
