I PERSONALLY NOT WORRIED ABOUT RAIN WE PROBABLY CAN HAVE A RAIN DATE WITH ANNMARIE.
NOW, MY FEELINGS ARE...
I THOUGHT WHERE WE HAD IT FOR THE MONEY WAS WELL WORTH IT, DID NOT HAVE TO LEAVE, PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT DJ'S WE COULD NOT EVEN EAT WITH ALL THE TALKING. WHO IS GOING TO DANCE I WANT TO TALK LOL FORMAL FOR ME IS OUT BUT U GUYS CAN DO WHAT U WANT. THE REX OR A HALL WILL BE ALOT MORE THAN 25 DOLLARS WE WILL HAVE TO HAVE SITTING ARRANGEMENTS, SIT AND EAT WHEN WE ARE TOLD AND LEAVE IN FOUR HOURS.
WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO EAT AND HAVE THAT KIND OF FUN FOR 25.OO AND NOT BE HASSLED. PROSPECT HALL IS A WEDDING HALL NOW IT HAS WEDDING PRICES. THIS I MY FEELING. THE INTIMACY AND CLOSENESS THAT WE HAD AT THE YACHT CLUB WILL BE GONE. ILL GO WITH THE FLOW BUT I DONT THINK IT IS GOING TO BE THAT MUCH FUN WITH ALL THE FORMAL SH-T. ANYWAY TBONE HAS SPOKEN BECAUSE I WAS IN THE CITY TODAY AND WAS GETTING CALLS FROM PEOPLE SAYING WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON THOUGHT WE WERE DOING NEXT YEAR THE SAME. IM TYPING SO FAST BECAUSE IT IS BOTHERING ME THAT ALL THE FUN AND WHAT WE SHARED WILL BE GONE NEXT YEAR IN A BIG PLACE AND WE DONT NEED TO HAVE 300 PEOPLE WELL NOW THAT I VENTED LOVE TBONE TERRY

Hello - hope everyone has been well. It's been awhile, so it seems.
Today - St. Francis of Assisi - get your fur-babies BLESSED!
They are truly gifts from God....
-------------------------------------------
Anyway - I just dropped in on the site and saw some posts regarding planning for the next reunion. While I have to be brief cause
on 'on the run,' I have to add my two cents.
RE: Next year's Reunion -
Not because I love her, but I am supporting Terry's comments
all the way, regarding next year's reunion.
A simple, informal celebration works for me. At the Yacht Club we had
the chance to mingle with different friends. I don't know about you, but
I didn't have the chance to talk with many 'old' and new friends - and
wish I had more time; and feel that if we have a sit-down meal it limits
one for a portion of the time to be 'stuck' at a table. (Hope that comes out as intended).
Regarding 'looking for people to come'. I think it is a blessing the way our neighborhood re-evolved after all these years. Everyone who writes/wrote on the site, and came to the reunion - were there with their hearts on their sleeves because they wanted to be there. Not because they were recruited (and I see that as different than informing those who are not aware).
I can go on and on about this... but will summarize my feelings with:
"If I want to be formal, I'll go to a wedding or create an appropriate celebration that will force me to once again where spiked heels and a bra. But for the reunion...... I WANT TO GET DOWN AND DIRTY!"
The reunion is about reconnecting; and aren't we a humble, down-to-earth family!
Hope I didn't offend you expressing my feelings.
I post with love and good intention!
Francesca

DID YOU LOCATE YOUR DADS RECORDING YET ? IF YOU DID ,GET IT TO YOUR BROTHER VINNIE AND I HOOK UP WITH HIM..

Regarding the venue for the next reunion:
1) I don't think we should go for a very formal place.
2) Still, there are many places where you can have both less formal get together and at the same time have an actual floor for example for dancing and a little bit better sound system
In fact, even the place right next to the yacht club looked like a good place for an intimate party, dancing etc. -
HI ALL OUR BLOCK FLEA MARKET WENT WELL. WANTED TO SAY HI TO ALL.
I AGREE WITH MY CUZ TERRY AND FRANNY .SAME PLACE NEXT YEAR FOR THE REUNION. IT WAS GREAT. THE PLACE WAS GREAT AND THE FOOD WAS GREAT AND WE HAD SOOO MUCH TIME TO SPEND WITH OUR FRIENDS. I HATE BEING FORMAL. FORMAL AFFAIRS ARE TOO STUFFY.
I HAVE A FEW WEDDINGS AND AFFIARS COMING UP WHERE I HAVE TO DRESS UP. FAMILY, SO I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO GO. KEEP THE REUNION SIMPLE, IT IS DEFINITELY MORE FUN THAT WAY
-
HI MILLIE HOW ARE YOU? MILLIE WHERE DO YOU LIVE AND WHERE DOES MARILYN HORAN LIVE? ARE YOU GUYS STILL IN BROOKLYN?
HELLO TO ALL THE HORANS. HOW WAS ARLENE'S B/DAY. DID BOB TAKE HER TO A HEAVY METAL CONCERT AND WAS THERE A MOSH PIT THERE? LOL
-
HI TWIGGY HOW ARE YOU. HOPE YOU ARE DOING WELL. I LOOK AT THE REUNION SLIDE SHOW OVE AND OVER. I JUST LOVE IT
-
Terry & Twiggy...
The party committee did a "Kick-Ass" job the first time around, so I think you should do what ever you feel fit for next year! I was unable to go to this years reunion, but I did not hear a single complaint from anyone I spoke to. For me that proves it was a true success! So for my money, what ever you party planners decide will be outstanding! Too many ideas will spoil the true meaning of this most memorable event... So please continue to plan whatever you feel best! I am sure all future reunions will be a blast no matter what you guys deceide to do.
Keep up the 'GREAT" work & I am sooooo looking forward to the next one........
Love to all... Geri O =D> -
I agree with Frannie. We had a reunion because of the out pouring blogs we had. People were able to mingle around and there was no pressure on anyone and everyone, at least for me, had a great time seeing people after so many years. September was good also because the weather was more bearable. No HUMIDITY...but that is my opinion. Anyway, what ever goes down, I'm in.

RALPHIE AND TONY MEI,
I AM THINKING OF SEPTEMBER 21ST OF NEXT YEAR WITH THE HELP OF GOD AS MARGIE ANGELO WOULD SAY. LOL
IT IS A SATURDAY AND I WOULD LIKE TO DO THE YACHT CLUB. ANYWAY WORK AROUND THAT DAY I AM WAITING TOO SEE IF THE YACHT CLUB WILL BE AVAILABLE ANYWAY AND IN THE MEANTIME PEOPLE CAN DECIDE IF THEY WANT THAT OR SOME PLACE ELSE.
IM FOR THE YACHT CLUB AND ALOT OF PEOPLE THAT CALLED ME AGREE BUT TWIGY HAS SOME SURVEY OR INVITE U PROBABLY ALL GOT AND WE WILL TAKE IT FROM THERE. I JUST THINK GETTING ALL FANCY IN A HALL IS CRAZY AND IT IS TAKING AWAY ALL THAT WE HAD THIS YEAR. LETS SEE WHAT EVERYONE WANTS. WE WERE DOING IT IN MY HOUSE AND PEOPLE WERE LOVING IT AND WHEN IT GOT TOO BIG WE MOVED IT TO THE CLUB.. OH I HAVE A HEADACHE FROM THIS SH-T. TALK TO YOU SOON. LOVE TERRY ANGEL0 =; :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: -
COUSIN GERRI,
SORRY I HAVE NOT GOTTEN BACK TO YOU. THANKS FOR YOUR KIND WORDS. BEEN WATCHING MY GRANDDAUGHTER EVERY DAY AND BY TIME SHE LEAVES I AM EXHAUSTED. KEEPS ME BUSY ALL DAY. IF I READ FANCY NACY ONE MORE TIME I WILL VOMIT.LOL ONLY KIDDING LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT. I CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU ONE OF THESE DAYS IN THE FUTURE IT HAS BEEN TOO DAM LONG. LOVE AND MISS YOU CUZ TERRY -
Hola: it's me; it's been a while, i have been busy, with different activities i am involved with. i have also been baby sitting my granddaughter Victoria Rose.
I have a motto, KEEP IT SIMPLE SISTER. the yacht club was fine, it was small but large enough for us, it kept us in close proximity it became more familiar. if more people come, i thought someone mentioned earlier on, on the thread, that there was a larger yacht club in the same area, so that could be an option. We shouldn't sweat the small stuff.
Fran/Patsy; sorry to have missed the flea market, i didn't read the blog in time.
i must go now, my daughter is having a jewelry party tomorrow, and she wants me to make my famous salad. it takes me with clean up time and all anywhere from 2-3 hours to make. so i better get started.
Ralphie/Rosa: i emailed Christine and she is sending me your email, for it seems that i am doing something wrong, it keeps coming back. talk to both of u soon.
blessings to all -
YACHT CLUB, YACHT CLUB FOR NEXT YEAR. WE ALL HAD A GREAT TIME SEE YOU ALL THERE. (JUST A LITTLE RHYME TAHT CAME TO ME WHILE WRITING THIS)
-
TAS: OK, let's take a few slooooow, deeeeeep breaths together. In fact, sit in a quiet place with no distractions (children climbing on you etc.), no TV and close you eyes. Think about the reunion next year. Think about a place (not the yacht club) where people can mingle freely, gnosh on food as they want, similar atmosphere to this year.....except, no picnic tables to separate groups of people. A floor where if people want to dance, they can......or if not, they can easily move around and get to talk to people. I am not suggesting an expensive hall. I am sure there are places around that would fit the bill. Don't be so tied to one place because you are familiar with it, can get it easily or whatever. But whatever you do, make sure to wear another hot outfit......wow wow wah wee wah, as Borat would say.
-
Patsy: I'm sorry.....it doesn't rhyme.
How about a simple place but open (so people can move around and not sit together in groups at tables) and with a dancing area. I mean like an actual floor.
I want to grab a glass and shake my ass to.....the music.....uh hah, uh hah....to the music. Can you dig it baby ? -
Hi--
I'm with Terry on this one.
I'm putting my 2 cetns in for whatever it's worth.
I vote for the yacht club. Not because us La Greca's have a habit of being the last to leave but, it was so comfortable, the food was excellent and enough to go around. and all the treats and surprises.
Dannny Lovaglio is so right about the September weather. Good point!
The reunion was just perfect!
Thanks for listeneing!
Hi Nilda-- hope to see you in the neighborhood soon!
Fran -
The yacht club was great. Was easy for us to get to. There was Enough room, many people didn't sit for the excitment of seeing everyone. I think it was well planned, I wouldn't change a thing. And $25.00 each for me and my husband fits my budget, I probably wouldn't go if it was more. So I vote to keep it as was. Santina
-
Marilyn, Janet, Italian Princess.......somebody give me a second on at least considering another location. Throw me a frigging bone.
Hey, listen, the planning was great this time and I know people had a good time. I am also thinking about trying a different place this time.....and it sounds like we will have even more people coming this time. Finally, TAS, did I mention that you should wear another hot outfit ?
I like the idea of Saturday.....rather than Sunday. This way people who want to extend the night can more easily do so.......and can maybe even get a chance to shake their booties (hey, I like to dance). -
(knock, knock, knock).......is anybody out there ?
-
Bob Horan: I will hunt you down no matter where the party is next year.....and kick your *&%*ing butt. I'll not just shake your booty, I wring it out and hang you on the line to dry.
Signed,
Sissy Lauterbach -
Anthony Umbria is the funniest man on earth. His daughter is the PTA President in a school that hosted today's flea market.
He just went to every single table, broke everyone's chops to no end, until there was no breath to laugh anymore, then seemed to disppear. When things quieted down a bit everyone was asking, 'What happened to Anthony?' After about 10 minutes I said I would ask Ann Ellen if he was okay. As I approched Ann Ellen, there Anthony was looking through a telescope smoking a cigar and yelling aha, aha like he discovered another planet or something! I nearly peed my pants. Everyone heard the laughter and knew Anthony was at the other end of the schoolyard .
Thanks so much Anthony for making the Flea Market so much fun! I really should have grabbed my phone and took a picture of you looking through the telescope.
He's too much. 5 hours later, I'm still laughing about this guy.
Fran -
HI BOB, (IT DOES RHYME) LOL
HOW WAS ARLENE'S B/DAY? HOPE YOU ALL HAD FUN. -
Hello Anthony Umbria!
My name is Rose. I received an e mail from Frances LaGreca saying that you knew my sister Acey-Ducey. Her real name is Louise Taliercio. She still lives in Brooklyn. I have another sister Gilda and two brothers, Joseph and Peter they use to call Joseph (Nipper). Do you have a sister Barbara? Barbara was married to Patrick that use to work at Melody Lanes Bowling Alley on 36th Street. Look forward to hearing from you. -
Hi. I didn't mean a "formal" affair. I just meant a bigger place with outdoors & or indoors just in case of inclement weather. Of course all who worked on the reunion did a great job, and we all appreciate it.
When I mentioned telling other people, I said that because since I have been in NY 2 weeks, I have run into at least 6 people who didn't hear anything about the reunion, and I know quite a few more that would have no way of hearing about it and I want to try to contact. There was no mention of recruiting people, just contacting friends who were unaware of the get together. Janet -
HI JANET HOW ARE YOU? ARE YOU STILL IN BROOKLYN? DOES MARILYN STILL LIVE IN BROOKLYN. I KNOW YOU HAD GREAT FUN. I'M SO HAPPY YOU DID. WHEN ARE YOU GOING BACK HOME?
-
Bob Horan:
Knock. Knock
Who's there?
Sissy.
Sissy who?
Never mind Sissy who. I'm gonna kick your ass and your groove thing from here to Ronkonkoma and back. It'll be a while before you're shaking anything except in your boots. And that won't be nothing compared to what your wife will do to you when she finds out you're telling Terry Ann to wear something hot.
Sissy You Know Who -
Terry Terry........ it sounds like your blood pressure is rising...... I don't think anyone wanted to diminsh the fact that the planning of this year's reunion was perfect in every way. The place, the food, the price and of course all of us being together. I think we are just imaging that if this blog grows like it has in the last couple of months you may very well have close to 300 people attending and maybe the Yacht club might just be too small for all the people. I also think that everyone agrees that we do not want a sit down affair and we want to keep it VERY casual and very affordable. OK so relax I am sure whatever is planned for next year's reunion will be just as PERFECT!!!!!!
Love, Judy -
HI TERRY YOU DID SUCH A WONDERFULL JOB WITH THE REUINON!!!!!!!!!
