Our district and Major Owens on the Colbert Report!

Stephen Colbert has been doing a 434-part* series on the congressional districts and last night, while we were all at Festivus, he did ours! He talked about Eastern Parkway, the Caribbean Day Parade, and interviewed Major Owens. It was pretty funny.

If someone is really desperate to see it, we have it on TiVo, as long as my husband didn't delete it. Unfortunately I didn't see video for it on the show's website.

*He wrote off one district in CA that he doesn't like any more. Removed them from the map altogether.

    If I remember correctly, Colbert wrote off the district in California because Randy "Duke" Cunningham, the aforementioned district's representative, has resigned and will be relocating to jail soon. Seems he accepted $2.4 million from defense contractors in exchange for his public service.

    If anyone had told me just how much I'd love the Daily Show, and then the Colbert Report, I'd have coughed up the cash for cable a long time ago.

    They usually broadcast Thurday's show again on Monday (not sure what time... 8:30 Pm, maybe).
