Soda knows we'll be there for Festivus. (horray)
while there is no exchange of gifts, what should we bring/do, aside from what has already been enumerated on the board? -

we could ask them to whip up a special batch for us--we're so good to them, it's hard to imagine they wouldn't
and mulled wine is so tasty!
I hope to make it. Depends on the paper...stuff...like, if they're done. and stuff. -
we could totally ask. they were making irish coffee on wednesday.

Dude, nobody said anything. Hot drink + liquor, what's not to like? -
I am so bummed I can't make it
Stuck in Vegas working 14 hour days although so far I'm up! -
Festivus info:
http://www.seinfeld-fan.net/festivus.php
And look, for next year we should get a real Festivus pole.
http://www.festivuspoles.com/pages/Festivuspoles.htm
It's kind of ironic that the site specifies that the idea behind the "unadorned aluminum pole" is "in opposition to the commercialization of highly decorated Christmas trees."
Finally, there's this:
http://mantoddindustries.packetnexus.com/
Feats of strength challenge cards, airing of grievances worksheets, you name it! Awesome!!!! -
i can do 12/15 as well!
-
looking forward to this. seems there will be quite a turnout!

Thanks for the http://www.festivuspoles.com plug. We've tried to be very careful as to that very fine line of providing a pole but not being overly commercial about it. Frankly, we never went into this project for the money. We most likely will lose money on this overall but we have had a lot of fun and many laughs As a Brooklyn College alum, I know Brooklyn is the perfect place for a Festivus celebration.

The main reason I'm posting is that the New York Post has contacted me and they are looking to talk to people in NYC who are celebrating Festivus. Looks like you guys are doing it tomorrow night and he's got a Friday morning deadline for the Sunday edition. Send me an e-mail if you are interested in sharing your stories and I will pass the contact information on to you. E-mail me at [email protected].
Enjoy the party. -
I'll be babysitting baby Medusa, but I'll stop by after that. You may be treated to a rare sight: Cupcake out past 11pm on a weeknight!
-
I dunno what time people are going to start showing, but I'm figuring on grabbing a bite to eat at Soda somewhere around 6:30-7:00. If you don't have anything better to do than to show up early, but you don't know who the hell I am, feel free to email me.
See y'all tonight. -
I'm coming straight from work, as soon as I can get free. our party last night has left me with a blinding headache and I need relief asap. I can be at soda in, hopefully, 8 hours.
-
I am also planning on dining at Soda, but will probably arrive more like 7/7:30.
-
I'm crawling out of the hibernation I've been in since Friday and am hoping to make it around 7. I too will be eating dinner.
-
ill see you guys around 930 or so..

how late does this party go?
I'm going to see Chocolate Genius backed by with MeShell NdegeOcello and Marc Ribot. It's an accoustic set at Housing Works bookstore tonight . . . how cool is that?
I'll be on the last train out of Manhattan... -

That does sound cool! These sorts of things tend to go on until too late really. ..so drop by and we might be in the same old spot.

We'll have to get real-time updates about the strike somehow. If it's happening, I'll stay out later!

-

-
Hooray for Stacey! I love my yarn--when I got home I could see the colors in good light and they are very, very pretty. And that book of patterns has some really nice ones--lots of different styles of wraps and shawls. Thank you!!!
-

Thanks so much Stacey. It was really thoughtful of you to get presents for everybody. I have to invite you over for a "preparty" next time so we can open it up.

pot-o-mania? man, if I knew it was gonna be that kinda party, i might have worked a little harder to finish this paper ahead of time.
note: it's still not done, but I now know more than anyone really should about the social and cultural implications of ghostbusters. -
Potomania, dipsomania, it's just more fun to say than alcoholism!
