    Hey--wow! Congrats! Happy New Yorkiversary!
  • 32 years.
  • seven years.

it's amazing to hear about folks who've been here 30-40 years. what places closes, and what replaces it, must seem like meaningless conversation. :)
  • going on 13 years!

I’m 30 and I’ve lived around here all my life. And I’d say it can be the exact opposite depending on how long the store was there. When I’ve been going to the same local store all my life and then one day the store suddenly closes, it’s a huge deal.
  • Im going on my 4th year, and I could honestly stay forever! I love it here! :)

If you could take a time machine and see this area 20-30 years ago, you’d be shocked to see the area was much more different than you could possibly imagine. And 20-30 years in the future it’ll probably be extremely different as well. So when you say you’d love to stay here “forever”, you have no idea what this area will be like in the not too distant future.
  • Yes, it was very different 20 years ago, but I can't imagine living anywhere else.
