that's what my next door neighbor told me they told her when she called to ditch time warner. (and she called twice, because she thought they were being idiots.)

has this happened to anyone else?

please god let it be a sign that FIOS is coming so they are no longer provisioning DSL lines!

Happened to me. When I first moved to the south slope from the north slope my DSL provider (cloud9.net) said that Verizon had no more DSL trunk lines or nodes or whatever it is. That was three years ago.

Subject: Wait for FIOS

IMHO you don't want to switch to DSL anyway so I would stick with the cable modem service until VZ FIOS comes along. But VZ seems to be dragging out their FIOS roll outs in Brooklyn for some unknown reason.
