Anyone been to Bossaco yet (where the Black Pearl used to be)- menu looks good.

  • Yes, prices are resonable for the food. Food is hit or miss though.

Had their special house made mozzeralla and it was served with braised squash which was weird, also had the pastrami duck which was ok, not great.

People I were with had the fried poussin with waffles and another had the braised black bass both of which were amazing.

Basically pick your dishes carefully. They also seem to have a nice bar menu with a good looking burger.

Overall they are doing some good food and prices I think they can't sustain for long in a nice, but somewhat loud room.
  • I ate there on October 7. Food was quite good, well prepared - they're obviously trying very hard.

They're proud of their elaborate filtered water system - plain or bubbly NYC tap water filtered for $4.50 a bottle (unlimited refills).

If requested, they also will serve the stuff straight from the tap, which is how I prefer it.
