Hello -- and help!

Willing to pay for ride from Prospect Heights (Sterling btwn Washington & Underhill) to La Guardia airport tomorrow Thursday 12/22 leaving anytime between 6:30 and 8:00 a.m. - whatever time you have available.

The car services that take reservations are booked up; as for those that don't take reservations, well -- I don't trust they will be available during rush hour tomorrow! If you have a car and the time to drive us, please PM me!

2 passengers, 2 small suitcases...

Will pay $50 or make a proposal!

Looking for rides back from the city to ProHe / Grand Army Plaza this evening, anytime after 6pm.

One pickup in west 20s, one near Houston & Varick, obviously we'll walk over to meet you.

We'll throw a few bucks your way for gas, buy drinks at Sepia, etc.

Subject: PHeights casual carpool spot

What about setting up a casual carpool spot(s) somewhere in the hood? Just a centralized location that drivers who need rider and riders who need drives can go to find folks? What about somewhere on Vanderbilt (to avoid the mess on Flatbush)? Just outside of Muddy Waters? This is how they do it in the Bay Area (even w/o a strike) and it works great. Anyone??

There are a few designated carpool staging areas near the neighborhood:

J. J. Byrne Park, at 4th Ave/4th Street in Park Slope
Jefferson Playground, at Bedford/Jefferson Aves
Prospect Park, at Parkside and Ocean Aves
Bartel Pritchard Square, at Prospect Park West and 15th St.

I have one more spot for tomorrow. 6am on Prospect between Vander and Underhill.

PM me if interested. Drop off in NYC is on 38th and 3rd. We got to 38th and 3rd at 7am this morning. I am hoping it will be the same time or less tomorrow.

My ride just fell through, so I'm looking too. Heading downtown, but I'll take a ride to anywhere in Manhattan because my employer will reimburse me for cab fare. I'm near Flatbush and Atlantic -- I could hop in, or I could walk to where you are. It's 7:50 now and I'm going to wait around another half hour or so before I just say to hell with it and start walking towards the Brooklyn Bridge. If anyone has a space in a car, please PM me!

FYI... they created a bottle neck right at the entrance of the Brooklyn Bridge coming from Atlantic (I think its Brooklyn Bridge Boulevard or something like that). The whole trip today took an hour and 15 minutes. 60 of those minutes were from Atlantic to the entrance of the bridge (which is only 5 or 6 long blocks).

I would suggest if you are driving to go up Vanderbilt or Underhill, make a left at Myrtle and then the right onto Flatbush and the left onto Tillary. That should be a lot faster.
