Atomic Wings on 9th...finally open!! — Brooklynian

Atomic Wings on 9th...finally open!!

I order from the one close to my job in the city..I'm thrilled that there's one here in Brooklyn now!

But then again I'm not thrilled at the fact that it's so close to the gym for me...now when I'm coming home I'll be tempted to drop in and get some buffalo wings or other ungodly calorie drenched/fattening fare.

Bonnie's used to have the only edible hot wings in the area but now that Atomic Wings is here I don't have to venture into that particular nook of the Slope.

  • I love the wings at 200 Fifth, never tried Atomic-they any good?
  • Juicy and delicious..and if you love unreal levels of spicyness, there's a heat level they call 'suicidal' lol, it's the best!

  • Their burgers and fries were excellent as was the service.
  • Where on 9th? Hungry chicken wing fans want to know!
  • its bt 5-6th aves (closer to 5th) Theres also some new crappy-looking chinese place right near there that I noticed the other day.

I don't know the name of that Chinese place but it is set up with steam tables. Chinese food does not do well sitting over steam for a whole day.
I dare someone to try this place... only joking.
  • no thanks, i can do without the "runs" if you know what I mean. Besides, Uncle Lao's has the best chinese in that area of the Slope.

Yup.. closed by the Board of Health..never to be re-opened again. I ate there exactly once when a friend of the owner invited a bunch of us to have a "banquet" one Fri. Nite. I will be discreet and not describe the state I was in on Sat. morning.
  • um, sadly I tried the Chinese buffet. Hailing from more rural ears where Chinese buffets are a thing of beauty (and later stomach aches similar to Thanksgiving) I couldn't resist. I miss choosing a little bit of everything.

Oh what a terrible mistake. My standards for cheap chinese are pretty low, but this stuff was completely inedible. I tossed the whole lot after trying a bite of each thing, and spit most of those bites back out.

My few times to get Red Hot II will keep me ordering from there. Some of the best cheap chinese I've had (better than Uncle Laos imo).
  • OpossumQueen... So you were the one who picked up my dare..

I am not suprised that it was really inedible.
