Has anyone gone to the Dental Spa on 5th Avenue (Dr. Sapienza)? Looking for reviews. Thanks.

  • thanks RockerGirl
  • If you go let us know how it is! I've been avoiding any dentistry since moving to NY. I know, I know . . .
  • I had a really good experience at Park Slope Dental a few months ago... just FYI (especially if you are uninsured)

Woa - Is that your review? Yes, I'd say that counts as a great experience! I'll deiniftely give them a call as soon as I get up the nerve to go to the dentist. Eeek. Thanks for posting!

Yep, it's my review. Seriously, don't worry about going to this dentist's office... I was really blown away. Let me know how it goes.

    Best of luck!
  • My wife raves about the place.
  • Pastorellia, thanks...I know the Dental Spa takes my insurance (which is a big plus) - just wanted to find actual people who have been there.
By the way, I like your new avitar!
  • I had a very nice experience at the joint a couple doors down from Red, White and Bubbly. I went there as I was uninsured and had received a coupon mailer for first time patients. I think it was $75 for a check up, molar x-rays and a cleaning. Of course that was a coupon deal, but if you call, they might have a similar program. Clean, friendly and easy.

What I liked is that they weren't looking to sell me work I didn't need. It had been a while since I last had a cleaning and while I have no pain, take excellent care of my teeth and have had only one cavity in my 35 years (crosses fingers), I was worried.

To quote, "You're fine. Come back for a cleaning if you're bored."
  • Thanks...I have really bad teeth and while I like my dentist, I'm looking for something closer. I think the idea of a "spa" is wierd, but since they take my insurance it's no big deal. My once a year check up is free through my insurance anyway.
  • Subject: GREAT EXPERIENCE!

I recently switched my dentist due to the fact that mine no longer accepted my insurance. Park Slope Dental accepts my insurance...which is a plus! I found the staff to be very accomodating and nice. Dr. S. is amazing and makes going to the dentist a pleasurable experience. Yes! I did say that! ha ha :D I used to hate to go to the dentist. I would have horrible experiences and then would not go for some time. I would totally give The Dental Spa 5 stars. The hygenist is great too. Very thorough, patient and even gave me a few techniques to help reduce plaque build-up!
They even have a room in the back with a massage chair if your tense! Don't be afriad! Go...you'll love it! Oh, I almost forgot...no more having those awkward plastic xrays jammed in your mouth! Dr. S. has this machine that is amazing. You stand there and a small machine goes around your head! That was really nice! Good Luck!
