a battery through my window
someone threw a battery through our parlor floor window. i woke up this morning to a perfectly centered hole through two panes of glass, and shattered glass all over our apartment.
it must have happened at some point yesterday - we got home around midnight, so it must have been before then.
so i ask the DH community, WTF?
i doubt it's personal, but my husband (a real estate broker) is sitting here wondering who he could have pissed off (ha ha). is a battery (i think it's double D) street symbolism for anything? were they aiming for our dining room chandelier (which is visible from the street) as a symbol of us gentrifying the neighborhood? or is this just the urban equivalent of hitting malboxes with garbage cans?
ugh... i guess i'll call the precinct now.
rita
park btw. vanderbilt and underhill

I was picturing a CAR battery until you said "Double D". And after you said "Double D" I was picturing... really, really big flashlight batteries.
Speaking of flashlights, I hear you don't need batteries anymore? You just shake them? Impending energy crisis of the 21st century: SOLVED. -
double D, my new weapon of choice. BACK OFF.
actually, i thought you meant CAR battery, too. weird. -
Didn't throwing batteries used to be a Shea Stadium thing?
Edit: Actually, I looked it up, and it seems like there are a lot more online references to Phillies battery-throwing.
