Jamesondean -- did you steal my blog?
Hey, Jamesondean,
I couldn't help but notice that you posted the How to Eat Sushi video on your blog today, the exact same day that I happened upon it and posted it on mine.
Coinkidink? Pretty mysterious, especially since the person who sent it to me lives in Japan....
Nah, I'm just kidding you, I guess that video is making its rounds, but that's some amazing timing. For all of you out there, that video is hilarious. Check it out if you haven't seen it yet.

But people ripping off blogs is an actual phenomenon. Somebody ripped off one of Andy's blog posts once.

why is it a phenomenon, isnt that plagerism? -
By "phenomenon," I just mean that it's something that does happen. And I do think it's a little different than plagiarism because if you think of a blog in its original sense of a collection of links to interesting stuff, a blog entry is not just the writing but the discovery of the thing being written about, which is why a lot of people observe the courtesy of indicating whose blog they originally saw a link on. The person who copied Andy's entry didn't just copy his entry verbatim, but also failed to say that she'd seen the link on dailyheights. Copying his entry was the worse action, but even if she had written her own explanation it would've been rude to gack his link without a shout-out to dailyheights, IMHO.

I thought that was EmilyM's dry wit . . .
