Ugh - Foodtown Internet Delivery
We're new to the nabe, so we've only shopped at Foodtown once before and found it to be fine.
Since we were pressed for time, we decided to order online yesterday, especially since our check-out person last week really talked it up.
I would advise you never, ever to use their internet ordering on your life. We're not ever going to shop there again -- that's how hellish today was.
It began when I missed a phone call from Foodtown. I called them right back, and the woman who'd wanted to talk to me about my order was on break. She was still on break 30 minutes, 1 hour and 1 1/2 hours later, when I called to see what she wanted to tell me about my order. At least the woman on the phone confirmed that my order would, indeed, show up during the noon - 1:30 window I'd reserved.
Well, you can imagine what happened. 1:30 came -- no food. I call, they say the guy's on his way. 1:45, another call, this time they say they'll call him. 2:00, they say he's not answering his phone.
Finally, I call back at 2:15, and this time the say the guy claims he made the delivery. They put me on the phone with him and they guy yells in my ear, before I can even say anything, "I don't know what you're talking about -- I gave you your food."
I won't rehash the entire conversation, but he angrily insisted he gave me my food, and I reminded him that I would remember it if someone had made a delivery.
I spoke to a manager who said the guy was coming back to sort this all out (so I'd get to see the d-bag face to face -- yay). I told the manager that this was unprofessional, but all he said was that this wasn't the usual delivery guy. I said we deserved some kind of credit or something, but the manager wouldn't commit to that.
So the delivery guy showed up and said, "what -- you live there?" He gave our food to someone else. He told me he was going to get the food back. That was over half an hour ago. Something tells me we're not getting our food.
So now we have to cancel the payment with our creidt card company and I have no groceries to make dinner AND I've been stuck inside the apartment all day.

dont even TAKE the food back.
It was with strangers who knowingly took the food. Thats contaminated in my eyes.
Cancel the payment, stop all business with them and follow the above post -
Also, my personal fave urbanorganic.com.

ditto...it certainly worked for me at Dell -
We don't do Freshdirect anymore because many times our vegetables were crappy and the prices were terrible.
The guy never showed up, so one of my neighbors is sitting pretty with over $100 worth of groceries. That must be nice.
A lady from corporate offices called and she was really nice. She said they'd refund us AND resend the order tomorrow. That is a great outcome, but I'll still never shop there again. -
Wow think about the baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad karma for the neighbor who took the delivery!!!!!!!!

Think about the poor people who have to actually GO to the store and don't have the luxury of delivery! Shitty or otherwise!
Yes, I'm bitter. -
I'm sorry i received your order in error, next time order a Heineken 12 pack, my favorite beer.

I would rather poke my eyeballs with a fork repeatedly then go to Costco. I tend to get in fights in Costco because I'm forced to remind all the inconsiderate assholes that there happen to be other people in the store and they don't get to shove/push/run over me all willy nilly like. I only grocery shop once every 4 to 6 weeks because I HATE going to Key Food. -
i have never used the internet for ordering food and i never will. just go to key food.

their online shopping has been crappy for a t least 2 years now,,,you would think they had it figured out by now
Howdy, Stranger!
