  • But what are we going to do with all the prisoners?

    I nominate: Staten Island! It can be like Australia. Blast the bridges!

  • You have to keep people somewhere close to where they live. I remember when I was a kid and got held in the BHOD for jumping the turnstile, I had to walk home. Thank God it wasn't in the bronx. I am all for opening the BHOD back. Where do you want to end up after police stop for DUI, the bronx?

    I can tell you aren't from brooklyn.

    It's more or less the cost day-by-day to charter a super-tanker to ship raw ingredients like the above around the globe, and is a forward-looking measure that's basically telling us that shipyards and transport companies are going bankrupt, no one wants to ship anything, and no one expects anyone to be buying anything in a few months time.

    It's a good thing you weren't inconvenienced for breaking the law.

    The reason they want to reopen the prison is, it's close to the courts, why not move the courts to Rikers Island and save the city a fortune in the cost of transporting these lowlifes to downtown Brooklyn.

    And I'm from Brooklyn

    OMG! Then all the lawyers and judges would have to go to Rikers!

    Besides think of all the corrections officers you would be putting out of jobs.

    Jah, like _that_ is going to happen. Interesting thought though.

    Box <- ............................. -> You
  • Most lawyers belong at Rikers, correction officers losing their jobs, i didn't think of that, i guess someone else would have to supply the prisoners with drugs.
