Shooting on Lincoln Place — Brooklynian

Shooting on Lincoln Place

I went to take out my trash around 10:30 and my whole block was roped in police tape. Someone told me a person was shot in the head. Anyone know what the heck happened? I'm a little weirded out...

  • i havn't heard anything on this.. but it sounds like someone was an intended target.. if it was right in the head and all. shrug. sucks though. not something you like to see on the block i'm sure.
  • What x-street?
  • Subject: cross street

It was between NY and Brooklyn. Closer to New York.
  • Subject: Benny Lyde's Killer Still On the Street

    The story is here:

There is a picture of Benny taped to the token booth at Nostrand.

His mother came to the Crown Heights North Association meeting on Dec 21 to plea for assistance in apprehending the young man's killer(s),
  • So when do we find out how much crime we had in our neighborhood in 2005? I think it was up from 2004.
  • Crime stats for the preceding month in a variety of categories are given out at the Community Board meeting on the 2nd Thursday of each month. The rates were below last year's level in all but one or two categories in November. The January meeting is January 12 at Berean Baptist Church, on Bergen bet. Utica and Rochester, at 7 PM.
  • When and where is the next Crown Heights North Association meeting?
  • The next general meeting of CHNA is Wednesday, February 15 - 2006
6:30 PM at Saint Gregory's Church, on St. Johns Place near Brooklyn Ave.
    All are welcome.
