ADOPT this cute black cat!
Goddammit, someone help me.
Back story: I had a bit of a tiff with the BF so I took him out to our favorite diner Bonnies tonight for dinner. All was well and after a couple of beers and burgers we headed home. I was a couple of houses from my door when Papi Chulo (the BF) said, "Kitty!"
So here comes this gorgeous black kitty towards us. But... but.... with a bad limp
so i pet her and she's purring like crazy but her poor paw is injured. A guy comes out of the apartment building with his little dog and I ask him if he recognizes this cat, he says no.
It was all over then. Papi say bring her over, and that was that. I picked her up and she instantly started to do the happy paws (making muffins) and now she's in my bathroom. She took down a can of food with glee and is making herself at home.
Did I mention I'm deathly allergic!!!!
..... this isn't the first time this happened to me........
P.S. found her on 5th ave and Lincoln, clipped ear, all black but with a dot of white on the chest. 4 or so years old? Hurt yet and total sweetheart.
How do I get myself into these fixes???

ha! hope you find a good name for your new forever companion!
this is how i felt when Jazzy found me :-) -
Noes!! But I'm allergic and the damn thing is following me around like a puppy now and she's all excited and happy so she's being all clumsy... all my tables are hard edged mid-century crap and she's head butting it all trying to rub against it. It's pretty funny, she's all "purrrrrr... boink.. purrrr. boink..."

I'm starting to itch... need to shower... bye... #-o [-X -
Ear tipped? Sounds like she might have been TNR'd, poor baby. If she needs to get her paw checked, go to my vet and tell them you rescued her. They won't price gouge you and may possibly give you a break. I would take her but I'm barely covering food and litter for my guys (yes, I did get a new foster, I know I'm a sucker). Maybe Kensington Kitties can help, do you have a camera?

I'll upload pics when I get home. She's a quiet gal. Not a single meow all night. Very inquisitive and loves to be pet. She's fully grown and has a big appetite. She wants to take over the apartment, she's not content to stay in our little office. This is not good! Because the damn cat makes me itch and sneeze!
I'll make a flyer and check around for a foster home. Please get the word out, she needs a home and she's damn cute and lovable. -
This is the cutie I saved. Turns out SHE is HE!
I noticed some fuzzy bits while he was gromming, and he's a grommer like any good pimp.

He hasn't pooped all today or last night, should I be worried? And I have to say this little monkey demands to roam the apartment like it's his own. He actually gave me the disapproving "murrrrr" when I took him back to his room. Bad kitty! I put up a Found Cat ad in craigslist and I'll be making fliers tomorrow. Please ask around and see if any one can take him temporarily. This cutie is making me sneeze all day! -
oh, he's a looker. Congratulations ;-)
-
Mamacita, he is a cutie! Good luck with finding a foster home for him.
He may be stresed out with the change in environment, less active and trying to heal his paw which explains the lack of poop. Try playing with him and speaking to him softly until he gets comfortable. Or get the bf to do it since you are allergic. -
That's pretty normal when there's been stress or a big change in environment, my cats didn't poop for a day or 2 after we moved. What a handsome devil! I'll try to keep my ears open for a foster home for him.

did you see that other thread about a missing black cat? it's a long shot, but maybe it could be the same one...
MarvelGirl wrote: Hey everyone. Hoping to find some help. We're in Brighton Beach and
our 10 year old black cat has been missing for a day. He has never left the house in all his 10 years except to go to the vet. Usually he likes hiding, but when we call him he comes out. His water has not been drunk from and his food has not been eaten so we know he hasn't been sneaking back out when we're not looking.
Neighbor said they heard cats fighting--there are a lot of stray cats and people who let their cats out and they often fight. Our cat tends to run away when confronted and we think he may have been chased off somewhere. We searched all over the house, including basement and garage and the neighborhood and have no found him.
If anyone here lives in Brigton Beach or knows someone who does, please pass this info along.
He's a black cat with yellow eyes, neutered, purple paw pads. He's old so has some weight on him, he's not skinny but not obese either. If you think you found him please contact.
Thanks. -
Well, he pooped last night. Of course you all were dying to know that #-o

He's also a feisty little guy! He insisted on getting out and laying extended in the hallway blocking it completely. If you tried to get around him he's attack your ankles! The nerve! He also gets a little feisty after a good petting, but he's still purring like crazy :cat: -
No one has come forward, so I'm now placing ads in craigslist to adopt him out.

Unstickying posts that haven't been updated in two weeks or longer. If you have new info on this pet, please post and we'll resticky.

Yes, this poor little monkey, sometimes nicknamed :monkey cat, piglet, Senor Don Gato, and Mr. Meow is still available. I've tried craigslist and really hoping people will get the word out. I'll post new pics soon. He's really becoming a sweet lover and wants to be around people.
-
Okay, I'll resticky!

Wait wait wait!!! Senor Don Gato as in the song?
Oh man I LOVED that song when I was little. It's now long gone, but my dad used to have a tape of me singing it when I was six or seven years old that he'd play at family gatherings (much to my embarassment) well into my college years.

Yeah I love that song too!

Ok, just got the damn beastie back from Mrs. C after our trip away. He's super happy to see Papi Chulo, as he was at home with him in the past month. Feed him some fishy food and he's back up for adoption.
Be posting pics soon. -

Some new pics of the little guy. If you know a person who wants a cat let me know! -
My dog wants a cat. She's so interested in them when we see them at the vet. I think her previous home (shelter pup) might have had one. Alas I am allergic.
My dog also wants a gerbil, but I think that is for more nefarious purposes...
Good luck finding a home for the furry - he's adorable! -
stop fighting it and give the boy a name :-)
-
He's so cute! I can't believe people are still freaked out by black cats, what the hell? Damn colorists.
-
Wow Mama. He really does look like Big Boy. You may find your allergies calming down after awhile. I hope they do so you keep him.
-
A new pic, it's called "How you doin'?"

Raaaaaaawwwww! Rico suave. -
Mama, just give the boy a name and keep him forever. You know you want to!
-
all your base are belong to senor don gato.
-
Do you have any idea how old he is or if he is good with kids?
-
My cat looks exactly like yours! He is adorable. While you're housing him "temporarily"
, I'd recommend Zyrtec as it's now OTC. It'll help your allergies. I'm allergic as well. Also, there are very gentle and safe cat wipes that you can buy online (http://www.ablackhorse.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=18362) that have helped me immensely. And brush him once a week, if you can. -
Newest pic. The booty shot :P
-
congrats its been 3 months since you first posted the cat's availability.
The cat is now yours. -
Give the boy a name and consider him your Christmas present, because he's not going anywhere
