Everytime I come back on this blog, it brings me back to that great reunion day. Hey, before you know it, we'll be back together again. Has everyone done their shopping for Thanksgiving? I'm going tonight. Anthony Umbria, my husband wants to fry our Turkey this year as well. I want him far away from my house. The only problem is, I need to go around to my neighbors begging for drippings for my brown gravy. That would be the only downside to frying. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to my first fried bird. I will also miss the roasting smell that takes over the house. What a beautiful thing!

Hey, Geri O'Brien. I would love to make you some rice balls. Why don't you come down my way sometime and I'll make you a batch. It would be great to sit and chat with you in person.

Terry North - how was your 90th cruise this year? Tell me, do you have stock in the cruising industry? Who's cooking the Turkey this year for you? I miss hearing about little Mia. I will have to read back a ways to catch up.

Hi Mildred - I love talking to you. You were so sweet a few weeks ago with our emails back and forth. Glad we got our family history straight now.

Festina - that's a mighty fine collage you made up, my honey. You are so unbelievable! I'm praying for you and your family every night.

Hi Patsy - Everytime I come on and see your picture, it brings back so many memories of your grandmother and my mother. It is still so remarkable how we all became connected again. It is so wonderful to see all of your pictures and chat with you. I don't think we will ever lose touch again.

Cousin Janet - When we last spoke on the phone (very enjoyable), I was decorating for Christmas. Now I rehung new drapes and roman shades, reupolstered my kitchen chairs and bar stools, hung new pictures and began some christmas shopping. I CAN'T STOP!!!!!

Patsy - hi my dear; hope your heart is feeling better today, having to say goodbye to a dear friend. I understand.

Anthony - I am a squimish eater.. and I can't identify any animal or else I can't eat it. Hope I get the turkey picture out of my head soon. It makes it easier to visualize a frozen butterball turkey - I can't name it nor get attached to it - like I usually do with all animals. I think I am a latent vegetarian.

Hope you all enjoy the feasts you are preparing. I remember in the good old days - before we even approached the traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner - we would have eaten homemade soup, antipasta, lasagna... and other Italian delights.. Of course home-made wine, apple cider, eggnog.

Afterwards, the women cleaned up and the men sat and........ Then we'd start the Italian feast. Ended with Espresso, deserts, nuts, fruit - and so much more.

Wasn't there always a "kid's table" ???
