After 1 AM Thread

i say it is after 3 in the morn and I just finished the potato salad.I was in my bed, nice and toasty under the covers when my nephews wife called to go over the menu at midnite.She is doing the turkey,mac and cheese,turnips,stringbeans,rice and my sis the ham, my niece the yams.So when she got to the potato salad I damn near died cause although I had all the ingredients I totally forgot.We are doing a combo thanksgiving celebration/birthday for my 2 year old niece....and I am keeping her as we speak.....of course she is sleeping.I was so busy packing up our bags to travel upstate and putting her down and checking out the black friday deals and planning my strategy to make walmart and target that I totally forgot to make the potato salad ....all damn day I could have done it.oh well....until I checked brooklynian it was me and CNN cause I cant get to sleep.A blessed joyous thanksgiving to you and anyone else who is up counting the sheep.........or cooking.

Yaaaaaaaaaawn.

I was sleeping too and just woke up. I had a nightmare.......my spongebob.
Really , I need to get back to sleep cuz I gotta be up by 10am in order to have everything ready for a 5pm dinner.

Most of my morning will be spent in a grocery store cuz I forgot the cranberry sauce , aluminum foil, lettuce,and pita bread. #-o

Wakey wakey, eggs and bacony... except Em of course.

The BF is doing all the cooking, I get to be lazy.... it's tooo sweet!

we stayed up late making cornbread for the stuffing and almond kringle for today's breakfast (mrs. doctor j's recipe -- hope it's half as good as hers).

and there will be bacon, too, because of this lovely part of the stuffing recipe, maybe the best sentence in a recipe since, "first catch your rabbit":

In a large skillet, cook the bacon in 6 tablespoons of the butter until very crisp, about 10 minutes; reserve the bacon for another use.

nom nom nom.

I laughed at the wakey wakey, but I say "eggs and bakey" (still means bacon).

In fact, my daily alarm on my iPhone shows "wakey wakey" when it goes off

man, I hate eggs....eggs cooked in things (cake, flan) are ok, but just eggs....blech.

We having 9 people over, for a total of 11 people and a dog. My role is to load and unload the dishwasher.

Em, did you see the spongebob balloon in the parade? Did you like the part where he went nuts and destoyed a Pork Store? It reminded me of godzila destoying Tokyo....

When I was setting my alarm to wake up a few days ago , it gave me the option to name it so I typed in "wakey wakey".
I don't know why either , that is just the first thing that popped in my head.

Nope. I don't even have any of the tv's on at all. I was stuck in the kitchen for most of the morning.

I just back from the grocery store a little while ago and now I gotta run back out becuz I forgot the pop!!
Even when I had the damn list in my hand and next to the #5 it said pop. #-o

I put the turkey in at 11:30am. I hope I don't burn it. Oooh , no no no.
