Just strolling on my way home, and noticed that on the corner of St. Johns and Underhill, in the shuttered laundromat, the front door shutter was up, and 3 dogs were staring out the glass door. all had collars, and looked eager to leave. Lights off, no one else home (on quick glance). secret playground, or depository for dogs squirreled away?

  • Ah Ha... you've uncovered Hood Hing's secret livestock coop. They must have left the gate open when the chicken got away (http://dailyheights.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=315&sid=a0298bbaa2bee7a1525df2ca1baebb18)

  • The guy who watches that space has 2 dogs - "Lucky the ghetto poodle" is one of them, a little guy who wears a hankerchief, then a larger (lab?) who is really friendly. I can't vouch for the thrid pooch, though.
  • Darn, I was hoping Brooklyn Dog House might be opening a PH branch! My dog loves that place. He actually does a happy dance when we cross 5th ave and he figures out where I'm taking him.
