I need a thinkpad powercord! — Brooklynian

I need a thinkpad powercord!

I'm an asshole and left my powercord at my client (here in Cali, I'm sitting in the airport right now!) It looks like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-ThinkPad-90W-AC-Adapter/dp/B000BUIP6K/ref=sr_1_2/177-0408296-5820966?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1227700911&sr=1-2

Does anyone know where I can buy one of these in the 5 boroughs?! I don't know of anyone who carries them in-stock: I don't care how much it costs.

Or if anyone has an extra that would be freaking awesome.

Thanks people!

Sorry to say that I can't say that I know anywhere to get one for sure but I have a few ideas...

You might try calling the Circuit City or the Office Max at the Atlantic Center. There's a Target at the Atlantic Terminal mall but I don't know that they'd have that sort of thing. There's also the Radio Shack on 7th Avenue (at 5th Street).

I don't have any idea if they have it but there's a little computer store on 9th Street between 5th & 6th Avenues. They repair computers and do sell some components. I think they sell used computers too so they may have something laying around. You could give them a call:

  • If you haven't gotten one yet, you can get a generic one at best buy or probably Staples. They are heavier and far more expensive than the lenovo ones, but if you need one, you need one.

  • Or you can go to J&R and get the kind that has different heads for different computers. (Radio Shack only sells iGo ones, which are horrendously expensive.) I got one for $40, and it works with just about any computer.

  • At this point, my boyfriend, my brother, and my two kids would say..."Get a Mac!"

(So far, I have resisted  )
