Do you have to stay in CH? I know there are some large Judaica stores on CIA in the early letter avenues.
-
You could try Eichler's - it's an enormous Judaica store with really lovely things, including lots of styles of mezzuzah's. There's one in Borough Park on 13th Avenue in the 50's and one on CIA between Avenues J & K.
-
There's also a ton of Judaica stores near Herald Square and at least one in Midtown:

Thanks for all the suggestions! I remember seeing those places in midtown. Actually, it might be fun to venture into Borough Park since I am less familiar and explore the neighborhood on my muzzuzah (sp?) hunting adventure...

brooklyn leather, the curated "gifted" market, across from the flea for the four weekends in december, has a designer called "pop-judaica",,, don't know what the stuff is like, don't know which weekends they are going to be there. you can likely find out a whole lot more on brownstoner, but it should be a good market (and i'm not just saying that because i'm going to be selling there on dec 21...)

If you're talking about the Judaica store on Kingston, that is RIGHT next to the World Lubavitch Headquarters, and I think the store is even run by the Lubavitchers, which would explain all the Rebbe Schneerson memorabilia. Anyway, thanks for the heads-up. I need a mezzuzah myself, but never bothered to go across the street and get one.
And now I know I needn't have bothered anyway. -

I would tell you that it is sad and tastless to see you making an obscene gesture.
I am sure that your mom would be so proud.
That answer your question?

and your point of this was what, to insult me? did i do anything to you to warrant that? (and my mom was sitting right next to me--you can't see her in the pic--laughing her head off. the blurred out person on my left was my father; he was 41 and had just had a catastrophic brain aneurysm and was there in broken body, only. it was pretty much the first time anyone had laughed in months. feel better now?) -
