Wanted-- Williamsburg apartment — Brooklynian

Wanted-- Williamsburg apartment

Hi! I'm looking for a 1 bedroom apartment on the first three L stops. I'd like to move ASAP and I'm looking to spend $1400. First, second or third floor. Does anyone know of an available apartment or a reliable realestate agent? (Williamsburg)

  • $1400 might be pushin it for the something between the Bedford and Graham stops. Start snoopin' around craigslist with specific search info. You can check out RDNY.com and work with them, they most deal directly with landlords so there's no brokers fee usually. As for real estate agents that are trust worthy in Williamsburg? I can think of none seeing as how they've pushed the border of the neighborhood down into Bed Stuy and up into Ridgewood, Queens. Or them ling horribly about the condition of the apartment to get you to come see it. Avoid Aptsandlofts.com, they'll say anything to try to get you to take their piece of shit apartments. I've had nothing but annoying experiences with them.
  • Yeah, I would say you'll probably have to look closer to Montrose. At least that's what it appears from craigslist. Graham through Montrose are really the same area in character. Unless there's some other reason you have to be right there...then you might want to look for a studio? I see some popping up for that price near Lorimer and near Bedford/N 11th.

Oh, and I have been much happier dealing with owners directly. I'm sure you've heard it a million times, but Craigslist never fails.
