looking for fluent speaker/typer of mandarin

I am trying to find a friend from college and I've tried every single other way I can think of to find her, to no avail. I know the same of the college in Changsha, Hunan where her parents are professors. In terms of finding them, the college's English-language site is not helpful. I wonder if someone who speaks Mandarin and knows how to type it into a computer might help me compose an email to either her parents directly (if I am able to find them - I don't know how many people among the faculty will have their last name), or to an administrator who might be helpful.

They work at the Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (湖南中医学院). I have a copy of my friend's name written in Chinese characters, which would probably help whoever we get in touch with identify her.

Anyone?

    how is it coming along? did you find someone to translate for you?

    my husband is fluent but he cant type in chinese. i have just started learning mandarin too, if there is any other chinese speaker out there and wouldnt mind practicing with me, let me know!

    I'm pretty sure I need someone who can fluently type. I'm not totally opposed to sending a handwritten letter since I don't have her parents' email address either. Though my uber-ideal person could help me find them on the website too, since it's so much faster and easier to know if delivered.

    I'm a little shy getting in touch with her parents; I never met them and I don't know if they know a word of written (or even spoken) English. My mom brought the copy of her name in Chinese, so that at least I have that, but I'd need someone who could write something like:

    Dear Mr and Mrs Hu
    My name is blah and I know your daughter from blah. I lost track of her when she went to Cal Tech and would really love any contact information you can give me, especially an email address. A phone number or address for work or home would also be great. Thanks so much.
