change counter at TD Bank?
does anyone know if TD Bank still has/is planning on keeping the old Commerce Change machine? Went by last night, change in hand, and the penny arcade was powerless with the monitor sitting on the top of it.
The TD Bank Website says they are keeping them in their banks....
Anyone know? Really don't want to get into coinwrapping or Coinstar fees.

There are hacks around the Coinstar fees. Has to do with unplugging them when they attempt to dial up their server, or whatever. You can find the details somewhere on-line, I'm sure. Not saying I condone such behavior, but if you're not ethically troubled by doing it, you can get by without paying their 10% or whatever fees.
As for me, yeah, I stick to the Penny Arcades. Which one did you go to that was broken down? I have a big-ass bucket of change I need to cash in to pay for my Christmas party. -
TD make bucket loads (pardon the pun) of cash by selling coins to other retail banks. They should be providing coin counting for free. The US Mint should give the bank some credit too, since Penny Arcade was launched, the US Mint has been able to scale back production because coins are kept in circulation rather than sitting in huge jars in people's closets.

They only give you back Canadian funds now.
I personally like the 5 dollar bills with the hockey players on the back.
"TD" actually is Toronto Dominion ... old-line Canadian bank.
