  • it was on the corner of 12th st.
He told one of my friends ,who I think was his only customer, he had been offered $5million for the property and turned it down.

Shortly after the offer he became ill and had to retire, his family is handling his financial business and tending to his health.
  • Joseph's - The haircutting place on 7th (near union) has been there since the early 70's. Not the oldest... but some longetivity!
  • I wonder how long Two Toms has been on 4th ave, near Union St? I would go in and ask but questions like that can get a person whacked.
  • nkotsonis No problem. Thanks for the info.

hahaha, good one though, they've been around a long time. At least over 50 years.

  • How about Catene Deli on 9th st?
  • How old is Antonio's Pizza? Certainly nowhere close to Neergard but I'm guessing it must be over 50 years old?
  • The Park Slope Barber Shop is over 100 years old!

  • Holy crap,

The pawn shop where Steve Buscemi sells food is 114 years old, but has been on 5th Ave since 1939

    Or the urinal cake.
  • Luigi's Pizza on 20th/5th Ave opened in 1973.

Pintchik has been around since the 40's. The son's run the business now. They also own over a dozen buildings around the store.
My grandfather used to have these killer poker games with the original owner, the father?, that would last for days.
My grandmother once told me that she learned how to play poker in order to spend time with my grandfather.

    I love Pintchik .

When I first moved to the area I was going to Target for household stuff, tools, etc.

What a mistake. That place is understocked, overcrowded the employees are rude and most importantly the dollars get sucked out of the community.

Pintchik has everything you need, is local and serves with a smile.

    LOVE IT.
