    Christmas in the City

    Sunday, December 14, 2008, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM

    Location: PSPC Worship (John Jay High School), 237 7th Ave. Brooklyn, NY US 11215

    Group: Site Group

    Our fifth annual concert of lessons and carols for the season is scheduled for Sunday, December 14th from 4-6 pm in the John Jay High School auditorium. Amidst traditional Christmas scripture passages and carols will be new “City Folk” music from Steve Elliot & the Merry Makers. Please be sure to reserve this date on your calendar and begin to invite your friends and neighbors to this event.

    • Following Christmas in the City, join us for a pot-luck dinner in the cafeteria at John Jay.

    • Childcare volunteers are needed to help out during the concert. Offering quality childcare for infants & toddlers is one of the ways our church seeks to serve our neighbors. If you can help, please email [email protected] or call the church office at (718) 369-7972.

    Description

    Park Slope’s marionette theater presents its take on the famous Brothers Grimm tale. After getting lost in the woods, the brother-and-sister duo come across a saccharine witch whose sour intentions to eat the two gets botched when they turn the heat up on her. Before the performance, kids can hang with the people behind the puppets at a meet-and-greet. Ages 4 and up.

    Actually, YankeeFan means CHRISTMAS themed events because YankeeFan hates all non-believers who try to steal the spotlight from Our Savior's birthday and Walmart sales.
