MICE ew.
So my landlord's a douche and isn't knocking himself out fixing the mouse problem. My apartment's clean enough, but baby mice keep crawling into my bed at night. I guess they like me? But I rolled onto one last night and crushed the little bastard and freaked out for like an hour about it. I put it in a plastic bag and threw it into the garbage outside and as I did, a giant rat crawled outta the can.
Anyway, I stuffed steel wool all over the place but I must be missing some cravasse.
I can't kill the little bastards. Does anyone know where I can find some no-kill traps?

(It really works! It worked for me recently and my friend also caught several this way...)
Here's a video of this method (with the added element of a ramp):
And it's free! -
I've got a cat...she's more of a mouse-alarm than a mouser...
I saw that instructables thing too, god bless em, but the mice are on my floor and I'm too lazy to build a ramp and make em climb...
I was hoping to find something more like this around town:

it totally reminds me of Monopoly houses. Maybe i'll draw Marvin Gardens under it. -
Ewww. That's totally disgusting. You should get a mouser. All you need to do is find a mouser Mom and get one of her kittens.

Okay when I lived in a mice place this is what I did:
1) aluminum siding
2) get a shelter cat, particularly a mean very active one
3) caulk up the all the baseboards, around the pipes including the stove gas pipe, electrical outlets, under the radiators with a mixture of caulk, plaster and sealant. Make sure to check everywhere even the shelves up high as mice chew holes everywhere.
4) put all food that is NOT in a metal can in the fridge. I even do this in my current apartment, I don't have roaches or rats, because I do that
5) never leave dirty dishes over night
6) take out garbage every night and leave the waste basket empty
7) take up the cat food at night
8)dont keep clutter, especially books, clothing you don't wear and paper. Mice make nests out of those things and will come to your place to retrieve that material.
9) Don't put clutter, or food on high shelves and think its safe. Mice and Rats are great climbers.
10) Sorry son, but no kill traps are unethical to your human neighbors. You will be passing the problem onto them when you release your mice into this densely populated city where you are always in proximity to a neighbor or store owner. Even if you release your mice in the park, your human neighbors have to contend with not using that park, because you have brought an unsanitary public nuisance into the park, to breed. That unsanitary nuisance will destroy the quality of life for your human neighbors, who use that park to picnic, jog, and sit in. Be kind to your human brothers and sisters and don't give them your mouse problem.
As per the metal sheeting around the baseboards (its the aluminum siding you use for buildings) Its labor intensive operation, but it works.
Howdy, Stranger!
