Parking lot options outside of PS but nearby?
I'm trying to find a lot and somewhere to park my car, but I'm not looking for a garage in PS. I'm willing for my car to be a few subway stops away and sacrifice convenience for a little extra money because I need my car only on weekend trips and the occasional job travel.
Anybody have any suggestions or know of somewhere?
Thanks.

Whenever I want to ditch my car for a long time and not pay for parking I drive it out to Long Beach and take the train back to Atlantic Center. There is plentiful free parking out there with no alternate side stuff - and it seems pretty safe. This may be further than you want, but it's very easy and free.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I'd probably want to find a surface lot a little bit closer than that, but I had never considered your idea before. -
On Coney Island Avenue btwn kermit and caton place, there is a new apt building that offers underground parking (open for a fee to non-residents).
The B68 bus is directly across the street and the Ft. Hamilton subway stop is close as well. -
There is an open air lot on Prospect Park Southwest between Reeve and Greenwood. They have a sign up that says parking for rent
There are several lots under the Brooklyn Bridge that you could get to via the York St F stop -
[wrong thread - f'ing windows changed windows on me, sorry]

There is a parking garage on Sackett off Columbia in the Columbia St. Waterfront District (as the realtors call it). I'm not sure what the cost is but I remember thinking it was reasonable (for NYC). Or you can just park your car on the street around there. I think you only have to move it once a week. I would suggest parking on Columbia or in front of residential buildings to be on the safer side.
