NYC ICY to serve soup
So we lost the great Israeli Falafel place on Church Avenue because nobody went there (although those of us who did thought the food was really fresh and really good). We lost Lonelyville because they couldn't make ends meet. Now NYC ICY is thinking of closing up for at least the season because nobody is going. But they are serving soups and if the soup is anywhere NEAR as good as the ice....that is a treat.
I have a great Brooklyn lunch idea.....go to Medina's on CIA and get the best Indian food in Brooklyn, then swing by to NYC ICY and get a Grapefruit basil ice to go. Stop by Crossroads for a coffee and know that you did your part to keep some local business open without running over to Park Slope!
