luigi's pizza
Subject: luigi's pizza
very, very yummy. best pizza i've had in the slope, actually (not counting anthony's brick oven, which is a whole different thread about a whole different kind of pizza)anyway, they're on 5th ave, @20th. not officially the slope. regardless, what's this about them not delivering? harumph. finally find pizza, no delivery. (i have not called to ask, but everything i've read online, menupages, chow.com, makes it clear they won't deliver more than a block)

Luigi's is the bomb, for sure. Lenny's isn't half bad either, and Peppe's at 4th and Prospect is pretty good. They both deliver.

Luigi's is effing delicious, as is Lenny's. Try Brother's Pizza on 4th and 17th. I've always been a fan of them and I think they do deliver.

For that style of pizza Luigi's and Lenny's are the best. Lenny's has a wider delivery range however.
-
Lenny's is awesome.
-
It must be me-we are talking about Lenny's on upper 5th Avenue, right? Around 16th, 17th Street?
I went there a few times because I always hear great things about them and have never been thrilled. -
yap - 5th and Prospect
-
Right, just wanted to make sure I was going to the right one-LOL
-
Lenny's sicilian slices win big time.
-
I'm usually a fan of pizza with no toppings but Lenny's really piles them on and it makes a big difference.
-
What type of pizza are we talking about here? The greasy cheesy type.
-
I think regular, Brooklyn style pie that can be by the slice versus a whole pie like Anthony's.
But I am with you Mama, ALL pizza is good to me. -
i ate the whole pie
-
Luigi's fresh mozzarella slice is awesome. I love the square slice too. I go there once a week.

Although not technically pizza, the garlic knots at Smiling are my fave in the city. And I eat a shitload of garlic knots. Smiling pizza is pretty crappy but its worth going in for the knots!

You can't put a price on A+ knots. Well ya can, but it better be like 6 for $1. -
They're 6 for $2 I believe, but goddamn its the best $2 meal you can eat.
-
luigis beats lennys any day, lennys is fine if you are leaving buttermilk late and drunk, thats about it
-
there's a place near my mom in new jersey, exceptional pizza, been there forever. does not deliver. doesn't have to, everyone comes to pick up it's that good. but we can DRIVE there
-
I agree, Luigi's > Lenny's

Well I love myself some knots so I'd pay that. Where is Smiling? Must. Have. Knots. -
