Brooklyn Back When - Open Thread

Hi Everyone,

I'm just peeking in to say I'm thinking about all of you and wondering if everyone is "out of their mind" busy with this Christmas holiday. I'M EXHAUSTED and I still have to go this week and next. I'm doing both Christmas Eve and Christmas day dinner. Today I decided to add baking to the mix. I'm making the 7 layers, pignoli cookies, hershey kiss cookies and two different cheesecakes. One cheesecake recipe is from my neighbor who bakes unbelievably. It is an Autumn Cheesecake. The cheesecake is topped with some apples that were dressed with nutmeg, cinnamon and pecans. I will let you guys know how it comes out. What's up with the price of pignoli nuts. My Gravy! They were $4.79 for 4 f&^%ing ounces and I needed three bags. Shit!

I went to my husband's Christmas party on Saturday and had a few drinks and got loose lips. Therefore, another five people are coming to my house for Christmas Eve! My inlaws and nieces are going to kill me. I could not help myself. It was a nice Italian guy that works with my husband and I felt bad that he was going to be alone. I'm a sucker for those Italians, especially since not too many live around here.

Would love to hear about everyone's plans and menus (if you have not already mentioned it earlier). I just came blogging in and did not read. Don't be mad at me............I really wanted to stop by and say, "I LOVE YOU GUYS" and think about you all the time.

I am on but am going to bed. The biggest loser is the Big WINNER for all you people against the show. These people were phenomenal, some losing over 100 pounds. We are going to put in an idea for the show during the summer/fall 2009. The teams will be groups of 4 to 6 people that grew up together or came from the same neighborhood. Maybe they will go with the idea. Me & Carol & Geri are in. 3 slots are open. Bye

Amazing how they looked last night I think the little hubby was very disappointed he sis not win. The lady Renee I think her name was....... the girl who won her mom looked so great her ex may want her back lol

YOUR words to God's ears u become rich lol What is this the month for people wanting to move. Mike and I own a house in bklyn and our tenant just told us a few weeks ago he was moving out and he is gone already. We have people looking at it saturday. We put it on craigs list and got a lot of responses.
Left the place filty, new stove we put in not long ago never cleaned it. We have alot to do there before saturday. What a mess. love tas
