Tiny Hamburger Buns - Where to Find?

I'm looking for some slider-esque hamburger buns. Anyone know of a store in the Slope that sells them? I'd prefer around GAP, but I'm willing to travel.

Thanks,

  • My hero! Thanks for the quick reply.
  • Hold me close my tiny hamburger buns!!!!!
  • I made these the other day. I used the tiny rolls in the bread section, 24 to a pack. I bought tiny pickles, cherry tomatoes I sliced in half and used american cheese cut out with a small juice glass.

me too. "you people" are making me hungry!
  • Now I want a burger......
  • they have super yummy ones we use for our homemade sliders at Union Market in the fresh breads section. I am partial to the ones with assagio cheese - cheeseburger with a cheesy bun.... it's outstanding!
  • i believe they can also be bought in munchkinland. the lollypop guild has really good ones.

:) It's cute and fun and great for parties. Obviously being so small they cook quickly.

  • crap this thread is making me want to go to White Manna so bad...
  • white manna? are you from hackensack?
  • nope, i am from bergen county though. and am loyal to the hackensack white manna and really need to get my friend who has a car to drive my ass out there.
  • there were two, though. the one in hackensack and then another maybe in hudson co?
  • brooklynpotter wrote: white manna? are you from hackensack?
    :!: omg :!:

is that place still there ??? how bout cubbys ?
  • i think white manna is still there. last i drove through cubbys was there as well. (i grew up in leonia, so i know the area pretty well.)

yea the other is in Jersey City. though that one is White Mana, only one "n". at one point had the same owners i think. i've never been to the JC one but i feel my only reason would be to say i have tried and to say "yea the Hackensack one is better..."

White Manna (or as my friends as I lovingly call it "White Mamma's", something my parents coincidently called it as well when they were kids) in Hackensack is definitely still there and I think I need to pay a fare visit when i visit the folks next week for the holidays.

8 no onions, fries, and a medium coke please. wow, i can't stop thinking bout it now. look at this goddamn jersey gem:

  • and yea last time I drove past Cubby's was indeed still there as well.
  • I moved here circa 1990.
At the time i was amazed at how much the neighborhood
reminded me of bogota, and bergen county in general.

back to the mini burgers ...
Dinner rolls will do just fine.
Suggest you dice an onion in a food processor.
Use a teaspoon to grab a consistent amount of meat.
Fry the onions and pickles on the same grill as the burgers.
(the juices need to mix properly !!)
Fold Kraft (whatever) cheese slices into quarters.
Upon the lone flip of the burger,
place the cooked onions and pickle on.
Then , place cheese over the onion and pickle
followed by a squirt of ketchup ... and you MUST
place the top part of the roll on the STILL cooking burger.

considering these are 1 or 2 bite jobs
i insist on HOT onions pickes and ketchup.
squirt cold ketchup on there and the whole burger is cold in 3 seconds.

i used to get 50 cents each for em.(25 years ago)

I make awesome BBQ ribs too
  • holla at all my bergen county peeps up in this piece
