  • Gary - I have a busy day today...but while this is on my mind ...I have to share this with you ...
sorry everyone else ...that is on the site ....and is tired of sad stories...but this will be quick ...I swear!

When I was 16, going back to 1976 .... my only Brother Michael, who was 18 at the time, drowned.
That was the hardest time in my entire life.
At the time I was dating a guy named Joey who worked with his Mom when he was younger in
Germains at the food counter....maybe this is why I know every part of Germains.....lol
Back to the story ..... Joey was my Rock through all the sorrow ....he stood by me ...as I was
flipping out screaming, crying and banging walls. He drove me every day ....this ( I swear )
to my brother's gravesite in Queens. We didnt want to bury him in Greenwood ...
because they only had plots available by 4th ave....on a slanted hill.
Joey then wanted to get engaged ...and I couldnt even think about it at that time .....
he went on and Married one of the girls from the neighborhood, they had 4 or 5 kids.
I got Married 2 yrs later and had 3 kids. Although, many years have passed ....
I will never forget the love I have for Joe ....its a different kind of love .....he'll always be a
    good memory in my heart.
But time goes by and people change....
Dorothy may not be the same person she was from back then .....I know Im not.
    I was weaker
back then ..... now Im a fighter.
Dorothy went on with her life and Im sure you also have ....
but we never forget the love we had for someone from way back in the day .....
If Dorothy is reading this ....Im sure she knows exactly how you feel.
Joe if your reading this ....I think you know ...I will never ever forget you.....thank you!

So, we go on and make new memories every day ....this way we have something to chat
about on blogs like this when we're older ....its OK

    great to meet you ....Gary

and thank you for Serving our Country!
