Has work stopped on the new Key Food on 69th St?

The initial permits are still up but I've only seen a couple of workers doing anything with the place. When I looked in an open door last week, it looked like nothing has been done since early September.

i hope they get it up and running soon. It would be nice to have a quick place to run too if I am in a pinch.

I go to the grocery store on 86th st that is across from the right aid and church.

Ever since the new owners took it over, it's been amazing. It's a nice trek, but I used to live in that area and do my main shopping there. For quick supplies, the keyfood would be nice.

Subject: Key Food

I have been waiting for this store to open - my mom is in her late 80's (and normally zips around 3d Avenue like the Energizer bunny) but it is a hike for her to Food City on 75th/3d. Is there any estimated date for the opening of this store?

I remember reading something... I think a statement by some Brooklyn pol... that it was going to be open before the end of the year. That's clearly not possible. At the current pace, I'd be surprised if it opens before next summer.
