  • Is it that bad that you will be drinking in a bar on christmas day?

If I wasn't feeling like crap, I might be at a bar too.
  • Wow. Little judgemental. Not everyone celebrates Christmas, not everyone has family to go to, etc. Some people just want to hang out and have fun on a day off. Doesn't mean anything is "bad."
  • Oh shush yourself, how was the judgemental? I know there are people without family and so on, half the people coming to my house on Christmas Day are without family. I just figure most people have friends or somebody to hang with instead of a bar. And, from past posts, I got the impression that Christmas was a day that this particular poster would celebrate, don't go looking for a fight!

Anthony, come on over to my place, food, booze and plenty of company.

You too flexi, there will be some single guys here, all are welcome!
  • Some of us need the bars after a day with family!
  • Did you just tell me to "shush" myself? Hey, if being judgemental is your bag, so be it. Not everyone is looking for a surrogate family, you know.

If I want a fight, you'll know it, honey. :)
  • Oh, and thanks for the invite, LTS, but I'm fine during the day. However, I have the next day off, and will probably want to go out for a bit after the presents are opened and the meal is eaten.
  • No, being judgemental is not my bag, there was nothing judgemental about my statement at all and I didn't appreciate you insinuating there was, darling.

Well, Anthony, you enjoy yourself there!

  • I did a gig on Thanksgiving Day a few years ago.
We started at like 8 , were only supposed to play til 12,
ended up playing til about 2:30 on account of the huge
    crowd of people having FUN.

i guess things were really bad that year....

as for drinking on christmas ...

you do realize not everyone is christian yes ?
to some of us, its just another day ...
    8)
  • And Union Hall is only a few blocks from my place. Thanks, RG! Perhaps I'll end up there at some point.
  • LTS, I don't think any of those single guys would find me to attractive in my current state (unless they are into chicks with runny noses and a horrible cough)

I might try that soon. I haven't had a glass of wine in ages. That shows you how crappy I feel. Although I am getting better.

I think this requires organizing, or is anyone other than me willing to show up randomly?
