Anyone know what rents are going for now for 1BR in apt bdgl — Brooklynian

Anyone know what rents are going for now for 1BR in apt bdgl

Just curious if anyone in Midwood knows what rents for roommates are going for in the older apartment buildings in the neighborhood. I need to find a roommate and I'm never home and I need to find someone trustworthy. Not sure Craigslist will do the trick. Need to price it so I get some interest. Any guidance from those of you with roommates, it will be appreciated.

  • people keep replying to this post and the replies keep disappearing...what's going on?

(edit: of course now that I posted this it has not mysteriously disappeared like the other posts...)
  • oook since the mystery of the disappearing posts seems to have, well, disappeared, here is more or less my original response:

Assuming you are sharing the apt (in other words, the roommate is allowed to come and go freely, hang out in the living room, use the kitchen, etc., as opposed to living in their bedroom alone) and not just renting the room, roommates generally pay half of whatever the monthly rent is, give or take $25-$100 based on the size of their room in comparison to the size of your room.

    Hope this helps.
