USED TIRES? No Guarantee! RIP OFF ON 4th and SACKETT

My friend got a few used tires not long ago at the place on the corner of 4th Ave and Sackett St. You know how it is...cutting corners with retreads for an old car.... I used to do that too, for my beat-up city cars that didn't get a ton of miles.

Anyway, what she got was rotted away danger tires with retreads slapped on top. When someone else had a look and told her what a mess it was, she went back. The guy was a jerk -- shrugged, said "no guarantees" and blew it off.

So my friends, I warn you: forget about the retreads if you don't know how to assess them yourself. If you go to the place on 4th AVE and SACKETT (called "Charley's") odds are good they will sell you tires with a big crack, just waiting to kill you and yours in a blowout somewhere.

I had problems with that place many years ago and have never, ever gone back! When I need tires for my car, I go to the place on 3rd Avenue and 8th? 9th? Steet.

Used tires are a disaster waiting to happen. There's a reason people trade them in. Tires are the most critical part of your car....you put good money into them, IMHO.
