I did go to bed after we 'talked' - now need to go take a looooong hot shower. Sounds like the wind is going to knock my roof off.

At least I don't have to clean for the friends coming here with us after
dinner - with boxes all around they won't tell which is the mess I created.

Anthony - I don't know if you are coming back on tonight...but I need to know how to make artichokes....well I know most of it...I am just not sure about after they are stuffed do I put water in the pan or just steam them...I am making some tomorrow, so if you come on tonight maybe you can tell me how you make them.

WE DO IT THE SAME WAY AS MARYANN AND SO DID MY MOM MARGIE.
IM STILL HOME MIKE IS RESTING AND WE ARE JUST GOING TO GO FOR AN HOUR OR TWO RIGHT HERE A MILE AWAY, HE HAS OT BE IN WORK BY 2 AM SO THATS THAT. IT IS NOT EVEN WORTH PUTTING MAKEUP ON AND DOING MY HAIR FOR AN HOUR LOL

Thank you Maryann and Terry - So glad I asked, I only made them once and I remember they came like shit........so when I looked it up on line today one recipe said no water just steam and the other one said just what you said half way up the chokes....Hope they come better than last time...lol lol lol

Terry - I know what you mean about the "college kid" lol lol my son is going out with his friends from school. They live in NJ so its not so far, but he is sleeping over.....well my husband and I just gave him a two hour speech about, he better not be lying and driving around after the party.....these kids...I am too old for this shit..........lol lol

Just reading. quick answer for Judy...

1 inch water in pan - standing upright, tight - not squeezed together
can add drop of extra virgin olive oil if you want
can throw garlic cloves. bay leaf or anything else you want to simmer
cover
bring to boil, reduce to simmer/steam - 35-40mins

you can tell if they are ready - when outer leaves easily removed

Anthony probably has a great recipe too..... Sometime I'll tell you about
Sicilian Artichoke recipe I got in Sicily... if you want... Very different...
