Just F everyone's I - I already have my boxes, but apparently this is a topic of general interest. But I don't need any future offers. A very nice couple PM'ed me the night I posted this and said they'd just moved and still had boxes.

...

You may carry on.

ORIGINAL POSTING:

Hey

I know where to buy them, but does anyone have extras they want to donate for a good cause? A friend of mine had to abruptly go away to deal with a really horrible family emergency that is going to last a long time, and she had to give up her job and lease (in Crown Heights, a nice 1 bedroom on Franklin near Park Place, I can put you in touch with the landlord if you want). I'm going to pack up her apartment and get stuff into storage and deal with various lease stuff, and was wondering if anyone has boxes, plastic bins, tape, etc. they'd donate.

PM me please.

Happy New Year and SEE YOU AT THE SWAP MEET, RIGHT?!

  • When I moved I used about 40-50 boxes I found on recyclying nights in PS (Sunday) all from Fresh Direct.
  • you have 50 boxes worth of stuff?

at least. I lived in the same floor-thru for 10 years
  • Its amazing what you collect when you live in one spot for a length of time. Years ago, I moved from a studio apartment into a two bedroom house and I had enough stuff to fill it.
  • i could easily fill a house
  • Where does one buy them? I'm moving soon as well and will also need stuff like bubble wrap and one of those giant rolls of saran wrap to use on my sofa and bed. I know there's a U-Haul place on 3rd Ave.; any other places right in the Slope?
  • nuclear, do you happen to have a resale #? because i do and can take you into redhook to cornell robbins--you can get tons of boxes, practically wholesale, plus bubble, saran, etc
  • No, don't have a resale # ... shoot. Sounds like that would work out nicely.
  • I have a couple of plastic storage bins if you want them.
  • Go visit U-Haul on 4th Ave and 6th. They have a "free boxes" bin where people drop off boxes they've used once. Of course you can also buy new boxes from them as well.
