Best Brunch in Slope?

It's not that it's loud - I haven't really had issues with kids being there. Its just that it's greasy and gross and really overpriced for what you get.
Last time I had two Boots I pulled about 3 pounds of cheese off my Margarita pie before even attempting to eat it (and probably could have gotten another 3 off) - it was terrible. The pesto on there (what, no fresh basil?) was brown too - like it was really old. -
Cafe Steinhoff...there's a reason German food isn't known as "light".

killer bunch at nono kitchen. holy cow. grits, omelettes, scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, insane cornbread, these little doughnut-type thingys that i think are called "beignettes" and come hot in a paper bag that you shake up to coat them with sugar.
also, i think donuts luncheonette deserves a shout-out here. 1st off, the doughnuts are killer. second, they have grits (alway the hallmark of a delicious brunch for me). and they have everything else diner-y you can think of. the coffee's not thrilling, but it will wake you up.
dizzy's is good for more highbrow diner experience. leave room for their bread because it kicks ass.
also, i know you asked about the slope, but if you're looking for the most deliciousest chocolate chip pancakes with chocolate sauce ever experienced by human kind, try markt in the city. on 6th btw 22 and 23rd. omg. they also have other stuff that's probably tasty, but i don't know why anyone would pass up those pancakes. -

Sounds like you got your money's worth of cheese at least. I mean what more could you want at brunch than a steaming pile of fleshy cheese grease and a surround sound spoiled brat symphony?

Some people will never be happy. -
I miss Dizzy's! Yum. Good, high octane coffee. Nice kitsch.

i sometimes have brunch at the McDonalds® on 4th ave .... 2 egg McMuffins® for 3 dollars, great deal as well.

I know ever since Mooney's closed I can't get my Jamesons before 11:30am, mimosas are amateurs. -
surprised there's no mention of Bar Toto. I guess it's not a HUGE brunch but that brunch panini is the tits and i find them pretty solid all around.
12th street is also a very nice brunch
Dizzy's is totally fine (i live 5 houses away so we're there often) but i don't find the food to be exceptional in any way. it's solid though, for sure. Very tasty pancakes and i dig the Italian Eggs dish
Wish we had a good Essex-type joint in PS. Some place with really eclectic dishes (Matzo Brei with tortilla chips? Strangely awesome) and decent (and included) Marys -
Busacco makes a killer brunch, owner is former chef at Le Bernadin. Plus the Angel Mary is one of the most unusual and delicious mary's i have ever drank.

I don't know if they do anything else well, but I like the cheese blintzes at Cousing John's.
