Subject: Sam's BBQ Shut down?

Hi there --

I've noticed that Sam's has been closed for the past two weeks -- does anyone know if they have gone out of business? That would be a total bummer since they've become my default go-to place for cheap & quick dinner. Any info would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

  • I recall someone on the board being afflicted with an ass-bleeding case of food poisoning from Sam's. That might have something to do with it.
  • Which one is sams... the one on park pl?
  • Yes, the place is closed and another business - a beauty salon is taking its place. One of the partners of Sam said the owner of the building ( the same guy that owns the Buritto Bar building on Flatbush Ave) bought them out.

stu-fucking-pendous. Another beauty salon. Lord knows Prospect Heights needs another one of those.
  • That sucks, the food was great there. My ass never had any problems with it.
  • A new beauty salon just opened on Washington across the street from Kinky Krowns. With a new one on Park and Flatbush I think the neighborhood will be pretty much covered.
  • I thought it was a great idea when they converted the place from a lame grocery shop to a deli joint that offered a lot more than cigarette, beer and candy.

Didn't you know that is Brooklyn's 3 main food groups :lol:

Speaking of Kinky Krowns, I went in there looking to get my standard high skin fade, 3/8th inch on top. Somehow he managed to forget the fade part, but he certainly remembered the skin part.
So i stopped him and walked out of there with 2 inches of razor-worthy exposed skin, and a razor sharp line for a fade.
Fortunately, Jose's Barber Shop/Drug Dealership up the street was able to fix it.
