Spin Class at the Prospect Park Y?

I personally haven't taken a class there, but a friend of mine highly recommends one of the spinning teachers there. My friend has been taking classes with her for three years and says she wouldn't take a spinning class with anyone else. I can't recall her name, but she teaches on Friday nights and several classes on Saturday. The teacher is a serious bike rider outside of teaching spinning too, so it sounds like she knows her stuff. I think her name might be Traci? I might be wrong on that, but if you check out the Prospect Park Y's class schedule, it has her name listed, I believe.

Yes her name is Tracey. I was at her class yesterday and have been to several others. She is very nice and everyone in the class really like her. She keeps you motivated and interested throughout the class. I have taken classes also at the Kensington Fitness with Shoshana and she is very good too. I started going to the Y because they have a much better selection of equipment and classes.
But in the end what makes or breaks a spinning class is if there is room for everyone and if the equipment is working. Basically you have to push yourself and have a good attitude coming in to the class. If you don't fell like exercising, no matter how great the instructor is, you just won't go anywhere. -
I've been to the spin class there twice. It was great!
I had always been leery, mostly because I have a great bike and I couldn't imagine the stationary bikes being comfortable. I was wrong. Go early and mess around with all of the adjustments on the bike. They are very flexible and I was able to get it to fit me perfectly.
The class is also surprisingly good. Being in the room with a lot of folks is very motivating, and the music was good. Not sure if it was Tracey, but the instructor was very motivating and the workout was challenging.
Highly recommended and free! How can you lose! -
Thanks for all the info, I'm going to try out a class next week with Tracey. I'll let you know how it goes.
