  • Well, I liked the suggestion of calling it Nightfall - although I’d prefer “Windsor Nightfall.” But if you’re researching history of the neighborhood for others ideas to reference history I’ll be curious to see what you come up with. Keep us posted.
  • I think these names will work

    "The Tall One"

    "Prospect Park Lounge"

    "The Detroiter"

    "Top"
  • Bar Tel Pritchard
  • "Yellow Cake"

Seriously though, I do like the "Nightfall" one.
  • nyco--- do it do it!!!!!!!!! Maybe you can start a new thread, run a poll to gage further interest? Brooklyn potter would maybe be interested and she knows lots of local artists (omg totally speaking for you bp, forgive me). I would love to have something there. And I would take classes too!
  • maybe ,when Curleygreg opens he'll exhibit works of local artist, just a thought.
  • bullyboy wrote: Bar Tel Pritchard
    very good
  • nyco - Im not sure how viable and art gallery would be in WT but I would love to have a local place to take art classes (for adults obviously). Actually I think any type of upscale craft sort of place with a classroom would do well. I'd love to spend Sunday afternoons taking a painting or sewing class. I think you'd get a big draw from the surrounding neighborhoods as well.
  • If your a democrat, try Bar Ack
  • universal video sign was there when I left in the morning (I think) .... now it's gone!
  • Curly Greg - I can't wait to go to my new hangout. Any updates?!
  • lots of progress going on in there, especially in the last couple of weeks. but i was actually alerted that the sign is down through this board! anything more you all can tell me about what's happening today? heh.
  • I have a headache. Consider yourself informed :-)
  • You should know that how pretentious the name is will have a direct correlation to how successful it is.

May I recommend something slam dunk such as:

    "Breuklen"
    "Barbarella"
    "Tweed"
    "Rumpelstiltskin"

I think you get the picture. It's pretty simple, actually. Don't forget to charge at least three times as much as Farrell's for the same drinks as well. And you should definitely listen to Flexichick--she is the perfect barometer for which businesses are a hit and miss among the new crowd, even before the businesses open (e.g. "Dub Pies").

Should you choose to use any of my examples, of course I expect a commission.
  • Curley Greg, a haiku for you -

    When will you open
    Gentriconfrontation Inn
    In need of some drinks

    :-)

I can see that work is moving along based on the wood covering the front.

    we'll drink to that, yes?
