Local electrician — Brooklynian

Local electrician

I just did a search, and I can't believe it but this never came up. I just got some ceiling lights that I want to get installed (plus maybe some extra outlets). Does anyone have experience with an electrician in the area that you'd recommend?

  • I just pm'd you my handyman electrician, 'cause I don't know if he wants his number up.

I had a bigger job (involving the breaker box  ) done by Rafael Dillon 917 337 4320 - it worked out well and he didn't charge a arm and a leg. Good guy. Ditto Paul at WCK Electric 917 939-4956

*no* idea about licensing . . . I got these guys through friends they had worked for.
  • p.s. Ricki did an extra outlet as well as a fan.
  • I'd also try asking your super. They're frequently the cheapest, although not always the best.
  • A super shouldn't install extra outlets - that should be done by somebody with a license. There's a guy named Art Cabrerra, Horizon Electric, who is licensed, pretty reasonable, and competent. He advertises in the co-op, and the last number I have for him is 718 965 0837.

Putting up lights is a pretty easy thing, but adding outlets can be more complicated.

I know a decent electrician who installed a new panel and some light dimmers, and a three way switch for me for a reasonable price. Try contacting Gerald 718-506-5746.
