So I woke up, looked out my window, and was shocked. — Brooklynian

So I woke up, looked out my window, and was shocked.

A small crane appears to be moving materials around on the Brooklyn Library Plaza. On a Saturday no doubt. I didn't get my binoculars out, but there also appeared to be a couple of men working. No shit.

I guess with this building going up opposite to the plaza, the people behind its revamp got jealous/angry/embarrassed/off-their-fucking-asses and got to work. Or this is just the contractor's perfunctory moving around of stuff to comply with the contract. The dueling white barriers though ache for snarky grafitti or a very funny poster of some sort. Not that I condone that sort of thing.

  • The closer it comes to becoming a reality, the Meier building is making me more and more nervous. I don't know why. I think that corner should remain "as is" ...

  • Yeah, it's going to be a shame to see that overgrown parking lot go.
  • Or at least not be replaced by a 15-story highrise.
