Stella is already on my lap.
Good news is that time warner seems to have fixed their behind-the-scenes crap
Bad news is that I have to find and re-enter all of my recorded show on DVR -
omg, we are on the third page of this dribble.

It's your fault , [redacted].
-
Did you get your DVD hooked up? The same cables that you hooked your DVD player on old TV will go into new TV - should be white, red and yellow, into white, red and yellow on the back of Toshiba. Get Stella off your lap and back to work. Damnit!

I'm not the one who denies kissing the pig.
If you had admitted kissing the pig, Flexi would have gotten the TV set up in about a minute. . -

Here this will kill any crush you have on me: LOL. -

I never had red/white/yellow into/out of DVD player. Cable in/cable out (coax), that's it on old box.
Eventually, I want to move my Roku box into this room, and THAT has red/yellow/white in/out -

lol ...that should really do it.
LOL? You're officially not invited over for game night. But you can go to Beaver and Jamzer's wedding if you like. -
Didn't you say above that you were worthless if you could not get Flexi set-up quickly?
...under-estimated your opponent!
Probably won't even have us over for game night.... -

ahem. I believe the term "Epic Fail" is accurate.
unless we are going to blame Flexi... -

You forgot to mention Roku. You should have enough inputs to do Roku (red/yellow/white) and DVD (red/yellow/white) through new TV. No need to run DVD player through cable unless you want to record something, which you can't do unless you have a recorder. Just hook cable, Roku and DVD player up through separate inputs.
Cable - NOT through DVD player into one using HMDI or other cables.
DVD Player separately through (red/white/yellow cables) or Blu Ray player through green, red, blue cables)
Roku (same as above) -

I TOTALLY blame Flexi. And yes - you are still invited for game night. If you can behave. -
I only have one set of red/yellow/white cables, which are currently being used by Roku box on other tv in bedroom.
I never used r/y/w cables on my old (not HDTV) box from TW into anything.
I'm done for tonight. I found the HD channels (yes, they fit into the screen fully once they are channel 700+), TW fixed my kooky channels and I've set up recordings for some of the shows I watch.
I'm calling that a wrap for the day.
If I have the energy, I'll start again in the AM.
nighty nite stalkers :-)
(and thank you) -
Party at Flexis!
(and yer welcome - i love that shit). -
you can not claim success yet. Not until she is thankful enough (drunk enough?) to have us over.

Screw you. I got her set up. You owe me jager on game night. I know that Em agrees. -
You host a game night at your apartment, I'll bring Jager.
...Don't give any to Jager to Mougar.
I am not a gamer, so you might be playing EM. EM, you any good? -

I'm scared of Em on games. But she's old school. Nintendo 64 and shit. I can kick her ass on Wii.

Em, what say you? Unless you surprise us, you'll have the advantage of being pork and Jager free. Will this enable you to kick the doo out of voodoo? -

Not so fast, oh geeky one...Did you see my question(s)? Cables are still NOT right. DVD still not working. -

I'll PM you and spare Brooklynian the drama. -
Dammit, I had no internet last night and missed the fun :-(
Can I still come over voodoo and watch Em kick your butt on Super Mario Brothers? -

Nuh uh. She's got everything hooked up through the DVR which is the hardest part and she's watching HD. Just needs to get another set of cables to hook up the DVD player and she's set. I am not an epic fail. -
ok, not "epic". ...but still "fail".
-
Flexi, did you remember to trade in your previous TW set-top box for an HD-capable box?
-

That's frakkin' New Jack!
This is old school.
